Title: When Mitro scores what does his celebration mean
Post by: The Swan on September 12, 2018, 08:03:24 PM
Every time Mitro scores he puts his hand to his ear and shakes it about.
My grandson age 6 years would like to know ( as I don't know the reason.

But why the joke? What's the background/context of it?

Who cares if he's banging in the goals? He can insult my mother for all I care.

Actually, it's Luca Toni's celebration. I don't know why are you forcing this as an argument, because Luca Toni and Christian Vieri were his childhood idols, besides Drogba and Sheerer. He's celebration is Luca Toni's and his number 32 was Vieri's.  :dft012:

This celebration somewhat reminds me of the Ibiza craze (many moons ago when Heskey could actually score goals) from the Raves where DJ's had one hand on the headphone and other on the mix

It's obviously a tribute to Fulham great Diomansy Kamara!

Well, having seen Kamara in his Fulham heyday - the goals at City, obviously, and a brilliant overhead kick to earn a draw with Spurs , just two highlights that stick in my mind in his erratic career with the club, where he didn't make  many first team  appearances, I like to think he's seem Kamara vids and copied them.

Whatever,  his celebration has that famous resonance for us, and who cares, anyway, as long as he keeps scoring.
I also wonder if he decided to shelve the guns  a bit, though he has done them briefly, in the light of recent controversies.

Who cares what he does as long as  he keeps  banging them in.
