Nicolas Anelka plays for his country, France. He is insisting that he's paid his international match fees (for representing his country) outside of France so that he is not liable for tax in France.  If I were manager of the French national team, I know where I'd tell him to stick his money..... and I certainly wouldn't select him any more.

Is it just me or does it seem that, in many place in the world, its no longer seen as an honour and a responsibility to represent your country in football?
