Usually with Roy it's pretty easy to predict the starting XI for matches and often the team picks itself. However, there is no denying that some players may need a well-earned rest, considering they have just come through a gruelling 90 mins against Donetsk, next week we have a QF FA Cup match against Spurs that if won will see us progress to Wembley, and next Thursday we play the Italian giant Juventus in Italy. Taking all this into consideration, as well as Bobatov injured, this would be my predicted starting XI for today:

Schwarz

Baird    Hughes   Hangeland    Shorey

Riise    Greening/Murph    Etuhu    Davies/Greening

            Elm      Nevland

And then subs to come on: Okaka for Nevland late on, definitely one of the midfield to come off and possibly be replaced by Smalling or maybe give Duff a 10 minute run around.
