So my grilfriend has this thing called NetFlix in New York. For about 11 US dollars she gets two DVD's to keep for as long as she wants. No return to the video shop admin, just slip it in the mail in the prepaid envelope when you are done. You can do it as often as you like so in a month you could technically go through about 20-30 films on that plan for 11 dollars. A single movie ticket is about 10 dollars here...The mail and processing is also super fast. You can get a new movie in 2 days from when you mail back the old one.
Absolutely brilliant service. Pays for itself in a big way!!

I used Lovefilm.com over here. Same principal, but as it's Blighty it's also more expensive. Around £12.99 a month.

I am afraid if it wasn't for Lovefilm I would never watch anything. If you are into all sorts of film AND tv and don't mind what and when you see them it is ideal. Watch all the US TV series on DVD. Although atm Lovefilm have a dispute with Universal so all the new Universal films are not available.
Glad things have worked out Finn.

Unlimited films, but only 2 at a time. I usually go through about 8 a month though.

Not sure if you're aware Finnster but you can also watch a library of about 400 films over the internet via streaming. Very good quality, and you can replay the best parts over and over again

The best thing about it is you can get (brit and foreign) films which you would never see in the pictures here, or on tv, or in any video store. eg stone of destiny or sex and drugs and rock n roll. Great band, Ian Drury.

Well Mr Timmy, I am a bit of an old bugger and the internet was never really my friend, but I also am a firm believer in "you live and you learn" so Netflix was a pleasant surprise to me. Nothing wrong with that mate.
Besides I wish I could get back to 2005. Now birthdays becomes a reminder of how few years you have left rather than a celebration of life.
