How long do you give Zola

If wasn't the media darling I think he would have been gone long ago, I would love it if they went down when we meet them in May although Bishops Park may need replanting if it happened at the cottage!

If they go down he's gone, but if they stay (Which Sir Trevor will make sure one way or another), he will stay. He is a good manager in a very f***ed up team.

As this is his first managerial job, ( i didn't know that) don't you think he is out of his depth though, he reminds me of Chris Coleman when he took us over, all went well for a while and then the sh8t hit the fan, do you really think Trevor I sit on the fence with splinters up my jax will save them?

...Re Zola, I don't doubt that he is a lovely bloke, as a player he was the consummate professional, and in his last game against us playing for that other team he was given a better reception by the Fulham fans than those of th eteam he played for.

But is he a good manager? It was said by a few spammers that he has lost the dressing room, now that could be because the players have ideas above their capability, or are just arrogant, either way I think most thought that it would have been better that GF Zola should have 'cut his teeth' at a lower level in the English leagues and progressed up the management chain, learning to assert his authority on players who would have been in awe of his player status and would have shown some 'fight' on his behalf.

If he is already a good manager, wouldn't it be nice to see a chairman sack all the first team for a change for lack of effort. Whatever happens they won't be allowed to go down...

Lets just pray that the cheats' results cause their points total to be mathematically less than the 17th placed team, and so, however Sir Trebor Mint attempts to spin it out, they still get replaced by Newcastle, et al.

I feel - somewhat - sorry for Zola, he seems a genuinely nice guy, knows about football and was a great player, but as we have seen all too many times, great players rarely make great managers  especially when they take up top posts too early in their managerial career. He needs to do a Cookie, get to a Fizzy or 1st Div team, and then build it's players up with promotions into the Prem. The respect from the fans will always be with those type of managers.

I think the job he did for them last season speaks well of his managerial ability. He's stuck into a bad situation working for the Porno Trio. Quite frankly, seeing as what he's been able to accomplish under financial duress, and how readily he adapted himself to bargain basement reality while not abandoning his attractive football philosophy, I'd quite like him to replace Roy when he leaves us.

I'll give him as long as he needs if he's trying to get the cheats relegated!
