What? We do like the Dutch! Well, apart from their language, which is a very weird germanic dialect and sounds rather silly.  |

Probably like the English and the French thing, though in reality loads of French people live in the the UK and vis a versa. Also Mr Finn i used to live in a road called Dykes Mews, my husband said the other day its was the funniest sounding road he had ever heard of ;-)

On the whole I don't think the English do dislike the Welsh, Scots and Irish although the opposite is often the case.
We're Chelsea to their Fulham.
If the English can be said to dislike any one nation it's the Germans for fairly obvious reasons.
All ridiculous stereotypes of course.

And the French, though they dislike us more than we dislike them. That's why I like going to Belgium as I feel they like the English better than the French, well their friendlier to me any way. Mind you I'm half Welsh (Hence the Welsh maiden name) and my other half is Scottish although his family originates from Southern Ireland (Hence the Irish married name).  |

Must say i spoke to a good few Germans in Hamburg and they was a carbon copy of us, moaning about the Poles taking all their jobs. Cant say i met one who liked them. Must admit there's loads on the dust so i mingle with them a lot, they are either right nice blokes or the most ignorant feckers ever, there seems to be no inbetween. Best bunch i've met are the Hungarians and the Bulgarians. |

But tell me: you don't happen to know any jokes concerning nations don't you? Ours always include the Dutch and the French. We have stereotypical observations about some nations, mostly our neighbouring ones. |

I could never hate anyone because of there nationality. I like to think we don't have these tribal attitudes any more although it looks as though there is when it comes to football! Agree with Tony G, all ridiculous stereotypes.
