reports in belgium about their "upcoming two stars"..chadli and dembele
Chadli is being seen as the replacement for dembele who is poised to join either spurs or liverpool for 10 million.
Its from the same broadcaster who first printed that chadli would be joining us. I dont know how credible it is but its what the belgiums are reporting.
To be honest if chadli scores goals than maybe it wont be so bad????

£10Million? That's got to be bullshit. I wouldn't take less than £15M or him.

first thing i thought..if modric was valued at 40 mil (not saying dembele is the same) surely 15/18 mil is a fair price?

You wouldn't Mr EQ, but I think the club would, as much as it pains me to say it.

agreed. we sold bobby for only 4.5 mill. the only thing that suprises me is that we did not try to flog him in january. he was never going to re sign on as his first ever comments were he was using as a stepping stone. £10Million? That's got to be bullshit. I wouldn't take less than £15M or him.

We're not in financial dire straits so we don't have to take the first price offered. I mean, we got more than £10M for Chris Smalling and he'd only been playing for 5 minutes. Dembele has the potential to be great and we should price him accordingly.

Dembele is on a contract which enables us put a price above his head

However, as much as we think/know he has very good potential, clubs willing to invest will see him as a player with only 12 months left on his present deal. We'll just have to wait and see....

I don't see us getting 15 million for him, not with only a year left on his contract (assuming he pretty much makes it clear he's going to walk). 10 sounds reasonable really.
I also don't see where he'd fit in at Spurs. He's better off in a deeper central midfield role but Redknapp likes one destroyer (Parker/Livermore/Sandro) and then a creator. Dembele would be fine playing alongside someone like Parker but the only way he gets any sort of regular time there is if Modric leaves. He's just not on Modric's level.
He could certainly fit in at Liverpool. .

Nothing in the Belgian press whatsoever, hence nothing true whatsoever. I don't know where you get this from to be honest.

I will say this very quietly. But Dembele flatters to deceive.

Speaking in a whisper, i'm with Lighthouse.
All rumour but if true I'd take £10m now and we will have doubled our money in 2-years and stopped a Cahill Boltonesque slow burn down to £5m in January

Hmmm. Dembele is a talented lad no doubt and certainly puts his shift in for us. But is he key, as in vital, to our future?
If it came to a choice, I'd rather keep Clint Dempsey.
But, fingers crossed, it won't come to a choice and they'll both stay at The World's Finest Football Club.
