Both impressed and surprised that we are above Paris St-Germain and Celtic.

I think it mainly reflects 3 things - 1) The greater wealth of The PL & the scope for its clubs to invest in the brand 2) The popularity & accessibility of English football - see West Ham's position 3) The impact of playing in European football - see Stoke's position.

You are forgetting 4) the presence of a Belgian player  white flag
(Everton, Arsenal, Sunderland and Man City also on that list. I see a pattern!)
