Bullying for a point of view?Presumeably if it's not yours-thought this was supposed to be a forum-even if gets a bit "tetchy" at times-keeps it interesting.

Debate is interesting and I encourage any points of view. Sarcastic comments that don't actually do anything but ridicule are just bullying. It is a habit some of us  older posters on here have become used to and makes for dull and lazy posts. Yes some of  us can be 'tetchy' at times. I am sure we are all capable of making points without resorting to silly ridicule.

However if people don't mind it then fine. I would point out though that when people stop posting on here and move away because of political correctness etc. Then the lack of respect to posters will also drive others away. Strange how older posters became very upset about the influx of new posters going so far as to threaten to leave. Yet not a word about the tone of bullying by others. But if it is ok for you then fine.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I am a dull ,lazy ,sarcastic mid term poster-but can still have an opinion without "bullying"-an emotive word.

Yes you can and I never singled out anybody. Now enjoy the football or I'll get me mate to beat you up.

I am willing to accept we will never know the real truth as truth is a very esoteric thing anyway.  Two people seeing the same simple incident will report that thing fundamentally differently on nearly any occasion.

What effect would the signing of Berbatov earlier in the window have had on either Dem or other potential new players? To me it would signify ambition to use a Hughes word. Any thoughts?
Its not that I could and others couldn't.

Not sure it would have really impacted either player to be honest, Dembele possibly.

Dempsey wished to play Champions League, something we may never play in to be honest, so he was pushing for his move regardless of who we brought in. Dembele's release clause was triggered and the chance to play for a top 4 club (with a partnership deal with Real Madrid), would entice most players. The most we could realistically look for is a top 6 finish and possible Europa League football. Tottenham can offer a greater overall package than us unfortunately

I realise that the club cannot exist on the 25,000+ attendances from 19 Premier League matches but thankfully, because of the TV/Merit money awarded to each club after the 2011/12 season, for finishing 9th, we were awarded 47.4 million pounds. First place Man City got 60.6 million and 20th place Wolves received 39.1 million. I don't know how much it took to run the club last season but the amount received from the league is no small change! Incidentally, the list of 'prize' money was published in the 2012/13 Nationwide Football Annual.
