Dear all,

Whilst the dust is now settling on the mixed bag that was the 2012/2013 season, here at FoF Towers there is no rest for the wicked as we are about to embark on a bit of an overhaul over the coming weeks.

The changes will be partly structural (a move to a new service provider with increased capacity, so that we can have a more robust platform and those "Fast CGI" messages will become but a distant memory, much like that 0-1 home defeat to Hull in 2009) and partly cosmetic (i.e. improvements to the content, "look and feel", site navigation, etc).

Our aim is to improve FoF and continue to have a home we can all be proud of! As part of this, we would like to provide you with an opportunity to have your say! So please click on the link below, and provide your honest feedback...

Key points:
•   The survey will only take a few minutes to complete.
•   There are 18 questions in total.
•   There is ample opportunity for you to provide explanatory comments or suggestions for improvement.
•   If you experience any issues whilst completing the survey, then blame Senderos... Or just drop me a PM and I will deal with it.
•   The survey is anonymous. You do not need to identify yourself, and we can't track IP addresses.
•   We will keep the survey window open for at least two weeks. Note that the survey window is not related to the transfer window...
•   Once the results are in, there will be a further couple of weeks where numbers will be crunched and comments reviewed.
•   We will then provide feedback on the main findings of the survey, along with a "roadmap" for the future development of FoF.
•   FoF is committed to the highest ethical standards. We can confirm that no Chelsea fans were harmed in the development of this survey.

As the survey is completely confidential and we can't track who takes part, we have had to ditch the idea of having a prize draw. Which is a shame as there were some cracking prizes being lined up including a dig in Berserker's allotment, an extra-large tub of RidgeRider's butt butter, a crash course from HatterDon on how to play the triangle, a one week all-expenses-paid tour of Stoke courtesy of Fulham1959, and finally Lighthouse was offering up a satsuma.

Hopefully the lack of prizes will not detract from your excitement in taking part :)

Great idea guys. I've done mine (so probably not that anonymous!) With regards to the advertising question, I dont think people would mind adding more adverts in the form of banners, just not the pop up ones which become annoying. I personally dont mind contributing to the upkeep of the site, and I'm sure others wouldnt either. I might start a weekly donation thing next season based upon the teams performance (to keep it "fun") to help out.

Hmmmm strange Mr EJL sir, I just clicked on the URL and got through even quicker than Cillit Bang cuts through dirt and grime. Available at any good supermarket...

You see those ads because that's what you have searched for previously - it's all to do with 'cookies' which remember what you are interested in and give you more of the same, so you are then more likely to click on an ad and when you click Google makes money.

you shouldnt have the mods do the survey as they obviously wont be impartial and give you correct date. Sorry, psychology student coming out in me but it just is a conflict of interest for them. Its anonymous so you're not going to know if its a mod talking up the mods or not.

We wouldn't be doing this if we didn't want to continue to make things better, and it would be difficult to make things better without getting people's input.

Yeah your right but I think my comments on the survey made it pretty obvious I was a Mod and was female, therefore they would know it was me. e.g. I commented that I thought the moderation was great because I was one!!!
