Just talked to Lufthansa who has informed me that my flight tomorrow from NY is not cancelled, will proceed on time, but may be delayed along the way, so I may have to change my second flight in Frankfurt but I would still be able to get to the game with time to spare.

That felt somewhat comforting to hear that, but I hope that was not the same feeling Neville Chamberlain had once upon a time in the thirties... and I have plugged down some serious quid for this short trip.
