IT REALLY has been an eventful couple of weeks and a very busy time in the Murphy household.

First of all I've been the proudest wife in football after Danny and the rest of the Fulham team made it all the way to the final of the Europa Cup.

The whole family, including my mum and my sister's fiancé Mark, all went to Hamburg to cheer on the team.

Although they were pipped to the post it was such an incredible occasion. The fanfare before the match was just awe-inspiring and the atmosphere was unbelievable and watching Danny lead the squad out onto the pitch did make me shed a tear.

We were pretty certain the match would go to penalties, before the Madrid goal in the final minutes, which was a shame as Ethan was ready to take a goal wearing these cute Trumpette Socks, £14.95 for six, that'd I'd picked up from www.itsayoungthing.co.uk

As we took the children I made sure I had ear protectors for them both. The football can get really loud but there are some really cute ear defenders from www.peltorkids.co.uk. They come in a selection of cute colours at at £11.50 are a worthwhile investment. Mya insisted on pink, which looked very cute as well as keeping her covered up from all the noise of the tournament.

I barely had time to unpack from Hamburg before I set off for a long weekend in Bath for my sister Lucy's hen weekend. Not one to do things by halves I, in my role as Matron of Honour, had organised for 24 of us to rent a house in Tetbury for three nights as well as a packed itinerary of fun to keep us in high spirits.

I'm still breastfeeding so Ethan came with us, as the honorary boy on the trip and I think the whole experience has turned him into a right little ladies man. He spent pretty much the whole 72 hours being cooed over.

For entertainment we ordered some Butlers In The Buff, James and Paul, who served us gorgeous cocktails wearing nothing but a tiny apron. It's such a good idea and there really isn't any better place than on a hen full of girls to have nearly naked men attending to your every need. And the guys were great sports and really good fun and served up cracking Mojitos!

To wind down on the last day I decided to organise some treatments from The Pamper Party. It was so easy to organise and everyone we dealt with was really helpful.

We had a schedule and a choice of treatments that made the whole thing really simple so in the end all we had to do was sit back and relax. I had a full body massage but some of the girls enjoyed facials and a few had mani-pedis.

We all had a good time but for me it was mission accomplished as my sister Lucy said it was the best time ever.
