I tried to sign up for the Fulham MasterCard online and it won't let me. It says you can only apply if you live in the UK. I am really bummed about that. Is there any way around this so I can get my Fulham MasterCard? Cheers!!!

Ok Tom, after a near banning  :dft001: - I'll try to be more help...

I used to work for MBNA Bank (late 90's) which was the leader in Affinity credit cards and had cards for everything from MLB, NFL, NBA, Nascar, Horse racing...you name it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBNA

They've been purchased by Bank of America and from their website, it seems all they have available are Nascar & MLB:
https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit-cards/cardoverview.action?context_id=overview_page

Googling Fulham Credit Cards (which I'm sure you've done) turns up a couple of UK sites and a couple of shady sites:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=Fulham+credit+cards&aq=f&aqi=g1g-c2g2g-c5&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=a3c13f954bf61e86

Last idea, is have someone in the UK apply for a card in your name and then cancel it once you've received it.  It'd be useless but at least you'd have one.  That requires a great deal of trust though...especially in this Credit-Gone-Bad World we live in.

May be as much help as my first post but at least this was more thorough!

Please don't ban me, please don't ban me, please don't ban me :047:

Thanks Steve for your help. I didn't think you did anything worth being banned for. You were just being a smart ass and there is nothing wrong with that. I do it all the time.

Tom,
Straight-forward answer is that there are different laws governing cards issues by institutes in different countries. Thus, only UK residents, who would be subject to those laws in the UK are privvy to obtaining such a card, unless, of course, Fulham decide to have an international institute issue the card (HSBC or American Express for example), and then you can get one in whichever country it is issued, and thus subject to the laws governing it's issuance.

In short, move to the UK, or it's a big No-No. Sorry

Glad you saw the humor in it...or rather, lack there of.

I believe Lork was having a go as well.

Look at what internet has done...two years of reading & typing on these MB sites and I start to type English myself!

Thanks Logicalman for the explanation. Man, I really want that Fulham card! I just might have to move over to the UK now.
