...I am usually good with accents, but last night he was speaking so fast I couldn't understand more than a couple of words - the other panelists also seemed unsure of what was being said too.

Talking of accents Cookie drunk or sober can be a challenge at times...

It is great to watch Lineker trying to understand Adebayour and nodding his head sagely and then moving on having not understood a word. But I have found that except for the Dutch and Germans I cannot understand most of what is being said by anybody. When you do catch the meaning it tends to be rubbish anyway.
