Bob Houghton seems to have been missed of the list of possibles.
He is supposed to be a good friend of Roy's and has had a parallel career to the extent that they have both managed at both club and international level. Significantly neither had any previous success in the UK.

Is he going to be the "quiet man"?

I don't suppose it will take the earth to prise him away from India!
