Has anyone else already worked out their away games and how many?

I always set myself a target of away games to go to. Its expensive and almost impossible to get to every single away game, fair play if you do but I simply would never have the time. Always difficult to work out exactly at this stage as fixtures haven't been released so games that might end up as a tuesday night may no longer be an option.

Anyway just wondered which ones you have your eye on and how many you intend to go to? Here's mine

These are 100% in any weather or any day
Charlton- as its 5mins away
Qpr
Brighton- so easy from London Bridge even with the extra train from Brighton to the ground
Mk Dons- not too far to go and a ground to tick off the list
Ipswich-  we've lost Norwich which was always good so I'll give it a go
Reading

I will go to a couple of these if its a Saturday in this order
Brentford- but I may change my mind nearer the time, not as big to me as Qpr
Bristol City- never been
Sheff Wed- never been
Birmingham- good day out
Hull- for revenge!
Cardiff
Wolves- never been
Bolton
Leeds

Forest- doesn't interest me
Derby- not interested in giving them my money
Burnley- no chance (I'm sure you know why)
Preston- no chance
Rotherham- no chance
Huddersfield- no chance
Blackburn- no chance
Middlesbrough- no chance

Obviously if we are on a promotion push that changes everything and maybe a no go would be a must to help push the lads over the line but at this stage I plan for convenience and not wishful thinking.  So 6 guaranteed but I will aim for 10.

Will definitely try and make Leeds, Forest and MK Dons, as they're the only 3 I haven't been to.

Will be gutted if I have to miss QPR and Brentford.

I usually do one over-nighter with the family (especially if near the coast in August or Easter/May), and this could be Brighton, Ipswich, or Cardiff.

That's at least 8 then, and probably another 2 or 3 if we are doing cr*p (day out with the lads - e.g. Brum, Wolves or Sheff Wed), or 4-5 if we are doing well (depending on money and family commitments etc.).

Optimistic again after watching that interview....... 049:gif    082.gif

With Norwich, Bournemouth and Milwall gone I'm not interested apart from Brighton. Maybe Ipswich if it falls right!! I'm sure I'll squeeze one or two in somewhere though

Just on the coast and had had a beer with an old friend / Norwich fan. I'm gutted they went up :(

I will go to every away day that is in Australia. Don't think it will cost much.

I think all supporters who can only do a certain amount of away games have a handful that are local and certainties no matter when they are. For me they are charlton qpr reading brighton and brentford. Then its just a case of picking out a handful of others and if they suit when the fixtures are released then great, if not I might go to another that does.

Either way I know which ones are guaranteed and I reckon quite a few fans do that. Also its quite easy to rule out definite no's. Ie middlesbrough because of how far it is and how unpleasant it is

Certain areas have more appeal for the area itself and experience than others

Think it's a case of something like me, I can definitely make all away games t'up North within 40 miles. Slightly further afield will mean the date and time plays a big part and down London will be a couple of times (most likely for home games) .

Definite for me:

Preston - 5 minute drive. Great pubs, fantastic stadium and near town centre.
Bolton - Missed it last season.
Blackburn - Corporate sponsors at work, nice club , big ground.
Burnley - Dislike the Dingles but should be a good game
Leeds - Easy drive over there
Huddersfield - Again, easy drive and access to ground is easy.
Rotherham - Easy enough to get too

More than likely or depending on date/KO Time

Hull
Birmingham
Derby
Sheff Wed
Notts Forest.

There's only one for me, and its a big one as far as im concerned, and im surprised that nobody has bothered to mention it, and thats Wembley next May !
Could be lonely by myself with 40,000 seats surrounding me !
I hope some of you revise your plans and make the effort.

Depending on dates and times, in order of closeness and convenience:
- QPR
- Brentford
- Charlton
- Reading
- MK Dons
- Ipswich

Other ones:
- Cardiff (friends there)
- Sheff Wed (friends there)
- Birmingham (some of my brummie in laws are blues fans)

The others are unlikely. Particularly Burnley... Turf Moor has never been a happy hunting ground for us.
