'The Times' today says that Dave Jones is definitely not on Fulhams shortlist of possible managers - but Walter Smith and Steve Clarke are possibilities. The piece also says that Curbs, Bilic, Southgate and Sparky are 'highly unlikely to be considered, for different reasons'. 

On the face of it that would appear to leave the goal open for Sven unless they can persuade Hitzfeld to reconsider.

Hitzfeld made it pretty clear that he intends to retire from football after the 2012 Euros. It's a pity though.
