Tipping Round 1

OK folks, here we go again with a new season of the Tipping Compo.

The rules are simple, for the likes of myself to follow:

Entries:
Each week the upcoming round games are posted, along with the running table of punters league table.
All members of This MB can join by simply entering each week, and it's FREE. No payments are expected, wanted or requested. Bribes are bribes, and you might try, but in the end, no deal, you get the points you earned and nothing more.

Predictions:
Copy the fixtures for each week, once posted, and put your predicted score by each game and post it back into the thread.
The predictions for each round must be completed PRIOR to the start of the first game. If predictions are late, they don't count and 0 points are awarded for that week.
Predictions can be changed only up until the the close time being prior to the first game. Any posts found changed after that time will be counted as late.
If you find yourself going on holiday/vacation or just won't be able to predict or a round or two in the coming weeks, PM me your predictions, I will do my level best to get them published.
Multiple entries: If you make multiple predictions for any round, only the FIRST predictions will count. All subsequent ones will be discarded.
Fixtures dates/times are as posted on the BBC Football site at the time of posting on this MB.

Points:
1 (one) point is awarded for a correct Home or Away win, or draw predicted.
1 (one) bonus point is awarded for getting the exact score for both teams.
If a game is marked DPG (Double Points Game) the total points awarded for that game is doubled.
Postponed and abandoned games carry 0 (zero) points

Errors:
These often occur in one of two ways:
Predictions are not scored (down to you) or I either missed your submission and awarded incorrect points (the most common).
If it is the latter, PM me the problem, and I will get it fixed, hopefully by the next round. We all make mistakes, and I am definitely no exception, but with some 100 punters to go through each week, mistakes WILL happen, however hard I try.

All in all, this compo has been running for a few years now and it is supposed to me a light-hearted affair. Abusive posts can and often will result in punters being banned from the competition, as there is little or no need for them. Don't spoil it for others.

Above all ... enjoy life, enjoy your football, and enjoy the competition, as, unlike football, it's really not a matter of life or death.

1. Mr. Logicalman: thank you so much for doing this again this season. I know it's a lot of work, but it is fun for the rest of us. I especially appreciate my annual relegation fight.

2. The rest of you: ARE YOU BARMY? You've got no idea what the squads will look like in 2.5 weeks time, never mind the starting XIs. Don't you want to WIN this thing?  :011:

If we spent 20 miliion quid by the seasons start had the best manager in the World. We would still lose 2-0 at Bolton. Since when have squads and players had anything to do with results?  :011:
