I have over a hundred hard cover books that are to be given away. They range from books on Politics to Biogs on Actors, Religion and History etc etc. Now all are ok if slightly foxed and need to be given away. Now there a few charity shops that will take them. Any other ideas? To sell them on ebay, Amazon etc is just not worth the time.

Charity shops always welcome pretty much anything that is in good condition, Oxfam even have there own second hand book shop.

sounds strange, but if you have a load all the same height with coloured leather spines. I will take them to make a light fitting out of them.  :045:
PM me and I may be able to collect.

I guess you guys don't have half-price book stores over there. I've been raising the odd $50 or so on and off for the last couple of years getting rid of books, CDs, and vinyl.

Any chance you could list them on here? I'll happily take a few off your hands. I read constantly and am looking to build a decent hardback collection.

Thanks for the comments. There are charity shops and even a charity collection that can pick up and donate a percentage of the sale to your favourite charity. As they are just ordinary hard backs and some book club editions there is nothing of any real worth here. Just interest. I will also look into the other charity options and places mentioned.

But as I have now come across some more - Nearer two hundred - I will begin to list them on here if nobody objects and if anything tickles your fancy (well not the specialist fancy tickle books as I will keep those) then I am sure we can work out a way of sending them for the price of postage only. I seem to have everything from  books on the occult to War to history etc.

The rest I shall donate to any charity shop in the Sussex area that will take them. As there are so  many books and in different places, it looks as if a simple job became a little more complicated.
Thanks again for the input, I appreciate it.
