Looks like the posters there are all bursting with 'o' levels and degrees such eloquent dialog

Always a good read, although there's less of a novelty factor to their perspectives than with some of the other team's message boards.  It's mostly well-worn stuff about well-to-do types supporting Fulham.

Don't know why they are surprised we haven't sold out our allocation yet.  Half term skiing week was never going to be the ideal time for this fixture.

I think he's a long term supporter, who feels local rivalry keenly, and would like nothing more than to put one over the boys from the Bush, but is honest enough to admit that the majority of our support do not seem to care as much nowadays.

Nothing against anyone that has latched on post Al Fayed, as they are as welcome as anybody, but it's times like this when we find out just what our hard core support levels truly are.

Why would you think that? Because he said it as it is and might offend some of us ?
Known him for years and trust me he is Fulham mad, proper old school.
Living where him and I do we're surrounded by Rangers fans and thus subjected to the usual banter/wind ups. Trying to turn the other cheek when you're constantly labelled plastic and passionless isn't always easy.
Its a sad state of affairs when you're having to defend your club because we cant sell 3000 tickets for local derby 2 miles up the road.

We'll sell 3,000 tickets & drown out their crappy support in the meantime, no problem.

Well, I say, they really are quite a bunch deluded riff raff aren't they. My friends Rupert and Jeeves were remarking on their club the other night with great hilarity. I've only ever been to Shepherds Bush once so I was wondering, does anybody know if there is a stable near the ground to keep ones horse, Hugo?

Does anyone know if one's Chauffeur can drive right up to the turnstiles or does one have to run the gauntlet of tragedy that prevails Shepherds Bush.
where does one land a helicopter, is what I'm pondering.

They are hilarious, as in I'm laughing at them not with them.
As for who's the biggest club, they've assumed they are bigger than us because they say they sold their 3,000 allocation faster than we sold ours & also managed to sell another 150-200 of an available 1,000, (their words)!?!?
That 'fact' seems to suit their argument, so we'll have to ignore ground size, recent history & actual attendances because they say they sold their allocation faster???
Hilarious

Maybe one reason that some people aren't rushing to buy tickets for that landfill of a ground is the fact that there's too many Very Restricted View seats available and they've got the nerve to charge people to sit there as well. We live in the 21st century yet the haha's still live in the 18th century. Fans come far and wide to experience The Cottage ambience. Not something the specialists in failure would know anything about.

They sold out their near 4000 allocation , im guessing the 150-200 refers to the neutral?. Two similar sized clubs who have spent most of our respective histories bypassing each other.
They've definitely got more people prepared to get off their arses and travel though and that sadly is a fact. Historically speaking though Fulham higher average attendances 16k to their 13k and we've spent more years in the top flight by a season or two.
Thinks its safe to say we're not quite as tinpot as some of them think and they're not quite as big as some of them think.
Going to be about 8 of us meeting up with some Rangers mates after for an afternoon on the lash , looking forward to that more than the game to be honest

Do you realise how snobbish that sounds?

Restricted view or not, stop keep making excuses for people not going - god knows how some of you lot would have got on in the old days on heaving terraces when any vantage point at most grounds was eagerly claimed.

People either want to support their team or not, and this fairweather attitude is exactly the reason why our support is not very good at the moment.

Oh dear - their ground isn't very nice...FFS!

According to you, (I think), we'd sold almost 80% of our allocation 2 days ago, (2,300 of 3,000) & the game isn't for another 3 days yet! We will sell our allocation.  The fact they sold theirs quicker, allegedly, is irrelevant & doesn't make them better supporters.

Funny how they ignore the 'fact' that our home attendances are significantly higher than theirs. It doesn't support their ridiculous & pointless argument so they ignore it.

And whether you, or they like to hear it, there were plenty of empty seats in the away end earlier in the season. I'm not talking the neutral part, I'm talking the proper away end. They may have decided not to show after buying a ticket, not made it to the ground because they couldn't handle their 2nd pint before kick off but there were empty seats up there & quite a few.

I understand your allegiance to your ha ha friends but, with respect, doesn't make it a fact just because you keep repeating that they sold 4,000 tickets. They didn't

I'm not making excuses for anyone. Frankly I couldn't give a monkeys who goes to the dump of football and who doesn't. And i'm certainly no snob but ii' gonna be charged 30 odd quid then I expect to see what i'm paying for. But you just stay in the old days with your pipe and slippers then.

Nothing to do with pipe and slippers, as I'm certainly not watching it on the tele.

So you won't get a perfect view for your £30 - so what, this is football, not the theatre, and restricted view or not, you'd still get to see most of it, and more importantly support the team.

Fine if that's not good enough, but I'm not surprised that other teams take the p*** out of the lack of passion shown by our support.

Bothered no, but neither surprised enough to keep on tit for tatting with the likes of QPR.
