The thing about Warnock is that his abrasive style often reaps short-term dividends, but players get sick of it after a while and stop performing for him. Quite often he has had an amazing effect when he arrives at a club, but with equal frequency it has not lasted too long.

There is a reason he has never been given a lot of time in the Premier League. Very succesful in this division, especially in short term. Often comes across very bitter.
