Bolton Wanderers set to loan Craig Bellamy from Manchester City - report
17 Aug 2010 07:47:00

Bolton Wanderers have enquired aboout taking Craig Bellamy on loan from Manchester City, according to a report from The Daily Star.

The Welshman has been linked with a clutch of clubs in recent weeks, and has apparently been given permission by City boss Roberto Mancini to train with Cardiff City after being banned from the Eastlands club.

The Bluebirds are also reportedly interested in taking the forward on loan, but would only be able to pay a percentage of his wages, believed to be in the region of £90,000.

But City are apparently now resigned to the fact that they will have to subsidise the deal wherever the player ends up, and are understood to favour Bolton as they do not see them as direct rivals.

The lure of continued Premier League football is believed to appeal to Bellamy. Everton, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur also continue to be linked with the player.
