The problem with gaining promotion this season or any time soon is investment. We would need to build virtually another new squad to not only remain in the Prem for the 1st season but to  remain there. This investment would require a minimum of £100 million . Even this would not buy many players so we would have to promote from within.
We should be able to hold our own along side teams such as Stoke, Hull, WBA, Middlesboro, Burnley & the like. The club have to decide if they really want promotion knowing the complete transformation required. It is a very different ball game to that under MAF. He did not have the burden of FFP.
