Was surprised to see Defoe in the line-up but again he proves his worth with getting the first goal.  Good for him.
Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

Stones saved Hart's butt by stopping that goal from going in.

The individuals change but the same problems remain!

Nothing to get excited (or even interested) about!

Gordon Strachan enhances his reputation as one of football's greatest humourists by dropping his best player from midweek.
Two players retained including Snodgrass who was dreadful midweek.
Wrap up warm, Tom.

Quite happy for Tom to sit on the Bench tonight.  Don't want him getting a knock and those Slovenians are putting in some tasty tackles!!
On the England game, we won again, but what a boring match! Imagine paying £50 to watch that.  One team putting Ten men behind the ball for 90 mins and one struggling to work out how to get in behind them. No real flair and once again we will get to the Finals and get knocked out by someone who has just a small amount of imagination and coaches who pick players on form NOT on who they play for!! Beside, England can only win if they have a Fulham man in the team and until they start picking Sess we will do nothing.

Sadly no interest in watching the Internationals these days, bad enough watching Fulham's last 3 games! Why is Mr Martin getting a mention on this thread, he hasn't changed clubs again and now playing for Lithuania??

Agree with you about Cairney.  He needs the rest.

As for England well at least Southgate has managed to get his team passing to players in the same colour kit which is something, but what an England coach would give for a midfield player who can consistently control a game with creativity, flair and attitude.

Lallana is pretty consistent for England. Great player!

Southgate seems to have defied his critics and got the team playing better.
