Fulham transfers: Chelsea stars could be available for knock-down price as Blues look to offload

Both players are out of contract at Chelsea next year and the club risk losing them for nothing if they don't sell this summer

Fulham targets Lucas Piazon and Tomas Kalas could be available for knock-down prices as Chelsea look to offload the stars this summer.

Both players contracts run out in a year's time, and with playing time at Stamford Bridge looking less and less likely the club run the risk of losing them on a free at the end of the 2017/18 season.

As a result, the Blues are keen to sell both players this summer with Fulham heavily interested in centre back Kalas, who was one of the standout players for Slavisa Jokanovic's side this season.

The manager is a huge fan of Kalas and Fulham have made signing him one of their top priorities in the transfer window, while a move for Piazon looks likely to only come if the price is right.

Kalas, who made 41 appearances all told this season, has admitted previously that staying at Fulham would be the perfect fit for him, and despite losing in the Play-offs and remaining in the Championship next season he remains keen to return to Craven Cottage next season.

Piazon is currently away on holiday and Kalas is due to meet up with the Czech Republic squad ahead of the June World Cup qualifiers, so any deals that may happen are unlikely to occur until later in the summer.

KAA Gent looking at Fulham's Denis Odoi to strengthen their squad's defensive options next season

The Belgian club see the fullback as the perfect signing to bolster their squad as they look to improve on a fourth places finish in the Belgian First Division

KAA Gent are interested in signing Denis Odoi from Fulham as they look to bolster their defensive options.

The 29-year-old, who celebrates his birthday today, only made the switch from Belgium last season and made 33 appearances in all competitions for Slavisa Jokanovic's side.

According to reports in Belgium, Gent see the fullback as a perfect addition to their squad as they look for cover in the right and left back positions, with Fulham willing to do business if an offer from the Belgian club landed in the club's offices.

However, GetWestLondon understands Slavisa Jokanovic would like to keep Odoi at the club, while the player himself is happy in London and at Fulham and is looking to push Ryan Fredericks for a starting spot in the XI next season.

Meanwhile, the deal for Gent's Ricardo Avila to join Fulham on loan is completely separate to any business between Fulham and the Belgian club for Odoi, with this deal having no bearing on the Panamanian joining.

Has Ryan Sessegnon agreed to sign for Spurs?

I have brought you tweets from this young woman before, as she works in journalism and has contacts with agents who feed her information. She is usually on the ball when it comes to signings and I hope she is once again and she believes Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon has agreed to sign for Tottenham Hotspur and not Liverpool or any of the other clubs clamouring after him.

Fulham left back sessengon has signed to #thfc

The 17-year-old (18 in May) can't fail to be impressed with what Mauricio Pochettino has done with young England talent, 11 of the last 19 England international squad debutants have been coached by Pochettino, with the national call-up for Kieran Trippier this week.

Fulham wants £15-£20 million (€17.18/22.91m - AUS$25.79/34.39m - US$19.21/25.62m) it seems with clubs, including Liverpool and ourselves looking to pay £12 million (€13.71m - AUS$20.63m - US$15.37m) for him.

Having bid for him as a 16-year-old, we are now attempting to agree a fee for him as a 17-year-old after a very encouraging season.

Fulham set to secure deal for experienced international midfielder

Fulham midfielder Scott Parker could be offered a new deal by the club, according to a report by Get West London.

The former England international was an instrumental part of the Fulham team who made it to the Championship playoffs this season, making 31 appearances in all competitions.

The 36-year-old was expected by many to be allowed to leave the London club this summer, however, manager Slavisa Jokanovic is now wanting to keep his experienced midfielder and offer him fresh terms.

Parker, who has played for Newcastle and West Ham among others in what has been a stellar career, will no doubt be keen to keep playing regular first team football, and he should be open to a stay at Craven Cottage.

Parker will be hoping to guide the Cottagers to promotion next season after narrowly missing out this term, losing out to Jaap Stam's Reading in the Championship playoff semi-finals.

A new deal for Parker would represent a solid coup for Fulham, who have a predominantly young squad, where Parker's experience could prove invaluable.

Fulham linked to Inter loanee

Fulham have been linked with a move for Ghanaian centre-back Isaac Donkor, who has been on loan at Cesena from Inter Milan.

Reports in Italy claim the 21-year-old is a target for the Whites, although there could also be interest from France.

Donkor started the season on loan at Serie B outfit Avellino, but made only three starts for them before the deal was cancelled and he was shipped over to Cesena.

The 6ft 2in tall defender, who has not been capped by Ghana, made seven starts at Stadium-Dino Manuzzi in the second half of the campaign.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is on the lookout for defenders in the summer window, but it remains to be seen if Donkor is a prime target or not.

Fulham should seek Mason Mount loan; possible Cairney replacement

Fulham will face a battle to keep hold of Tom Cairney this summer, and they should consider a loan move for Chelsea young star Mason Mount as a possible replacement.

Following Fulham's failure to win promotion through the Championship play-offs, Tom Cairney has been linked with a move away from Craven Cottage this summer and Newcastle United are favourites to land the midfielder (Get West London).

The 26-year-old has established himself as a key player since arriving from Blackburn Rovers but his 13 goals from midfield last campaign propelled him into talismanic status.

Fulham will be hoping that their star man stays at the club for at least another season but the possibility of losing him to a Premier League team would have to be considered likely.

If Cairney does move onto pastures new then Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic will have the unenviable task of replacing the Scottish international.

Fulham may choose to invest heavily in a suitable replacement but a loan move for a young Premier League talent should not be ruled out as a viable option.

If the Cottagers do choose to dip into the loan market for an attacking midfielder then they will only need to look a few miles down the road where Chelsea talent Mason Mount may be available.

Mount is a highly rated prospect at the club and has just recently signed a new contract, committing to the Premier League champions until 2021.

He is capable of playing in the attacking midfield role but is also comfortable playing deeper in the midfield; still operating as a box-to-box midfielder. He is renowned at youth level for his ability to score goals as well as being a tough tackler.

A potential season-long loan move would be an attractive proposition to both clubs and would hand Mount the chance to showcase his talents in the ever-competitive Championship; this will only be beneficial to his development.

Newcastle United's Dream Attacking Line-up For Next Season – Tom Cairney To Play As No 10

How Newcastle United's Attack Would Line Up With Tom Cairney In The Side

Newcastle were promoted to the Premier League after winning the EFL Championship and credits to Rafael Benitez for achieving it. Transfer dealings now become a necessary for the Magpies and some shrewd additions are expected. Here is how Newcastle's most advanced four may look next season with their new signing included and to be fair, this quartet would cause some damage in the Premier League:

Matt Ritchie (Right-Wing)
Ritchie was quite possibly Newcastle's player of the season in the Championship despite the presence of Jonjo Shelvey and Dwight Gayle among others. The former Bournemouth winger was super-consistent, playing 42 times in the league and scoring 12 goals while also assisting 7 others.

His pass completion rate of almost 77% is excellent for a player in that position, attempting to find intricate passes to his no.9 which in the main are expected to be blocked by a defender. At 27, Ritchie is definitely getting better and he has proved himself to be a thoroughly capable Premier League player before on the south coast. So next season, a less demanding 38 game campaign should see him in an even better light.

Rolando Aarons (Left-Wing)
I hate this cliché, but if Aarons returns fit and well, he will be just like a new signing. His quality is enormous and he will represent a big improvement on the admittedly hard-working Yoan Gouffran, without the club having to spend a penny extra.

It looks like Rafa has faith in the young Jamaican and so we can expect him to be involved from the beginning next term and fingers crossed, this could be the true beginning of Aarons as a Premier League force.

Tom Cairney (Second Striker)
Second striker or no.10 is how we know this position. However, under Rafa Benitez the role is a little different and this is why he should grab Cairney. Back in his Liverpool days, Rafa must have felt like he had 12 or 13 men.  Fernando Torres simply loved having the opposition defensive area all to himself and so he preferred playing as a lone no.9.

This was fine, as he was supported by the super-fit and talented Steven Gerrard at no.10. Gerrard was able to help the other four midfielders when needed, meaning Liverpool had a great defensive base, but could yet propel forward into space when in possession and that added a guaranteed 15-20 goals to the side.

Rafa wanted a Championship version of this which is why he bought Mo Diame and that is why Ayoze Perez didn't feature as much as we thought he would. But in Cairney, he could once again have the ideal player to fill this role.

Dwight Gayle (Striker)
Like Ritchie on the right, Gayle came from the Premier League but didn't have enough time in it to show us what he can do. Gayle is a natural goal scorer and Benitez knows this. Such talents don't really have boundaries and so I'm sure he will be given his chance in the top division in his rightful position.
