Everton join AC Milan, Chelsea and Tottenham in race for Celtic's former-Fulham man Moussa Dembele

The 20-year-old looks destined for a move away from current club Celtic after a sensational season in the SPL which saw him score 32 goals in all competitions.

Everton are the latest club to be interested in a move for former-Fulham forward Moussa Dembele, according to the Scottish Sun.

The 20-year-old looks destined for a move away from current club Celtic after a sensational season in the SPL which saw him score 32 goals in all competitions.

A number of clubs have been rumoured with a move for the star, including the likes of AC Milan, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Everton have shown clear intent in the summer transfer window as they splashed the cash on Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Ajax captain Davy Klaassen, and with current talisman Romelu Lukaku looking likely to leave, Dembele could be seen as the ideal replacement.

Fulham 'slap £7m price tag' on Kevin McDonald to warn off Nottingham Forest

Kevin McDonald was one of Fulham's star performers last season

Nottingham Forest will have to break their transfer record if they are to sign Kevin McDonald from Championship rivals Fulham.

Mark Warburton is believed to be a keen admirer of the 28-year-old Scotsman, and had been hoping to seal a £3 million deal, according to the Sun.

The Craven Cottage outfit however, are keen to avoid losing the former Burnley man and have slapped a hefty price tag on his shoulders in a bid to ward off ambitious Forest.

McDonald has been attracting interest from the top flight, with newly promoted Brighton said to have been keen on the midfielder, who were readying a £2 million bid earlier this month according to reports.

Reds boss Warburton is keen to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the new Championship season and could see McDonald as the ideal man to do just that.

Warburton's former club Rangers were also linked to the Fulham man who clocked up an impressive 48 appearances for the Craven Cottage club last season, netting three times in a campaign that ended in defeat against Reading in the play-off semi-final.

Fulham are desperate to hold onto McDonald, along with star performer Tom Cairney who has been the subject of continued interest from Newcastle, following their promotion to the Premier League.

Forest's previous transfer record spend came when they paid League One side Peterborough United £5.5 million for striker Britt Assombalonga in August 2014.

Nottingham Forest dealt blow in quest to sign 28-year-old Scottish midfielder

EFL Championship outfit Fulham have slapped a £7 million price tag on midfielder Kevin McDonald to thwart off any potential interest from divisional rivals Nottingham Forest, according to the Nottingham Post via The Sun.

It means that the Reds must smash their transfer record if they are to secure the defensive midfielder who had been identified as one of the club's top targets this summer.

McDonald was an integral part of the Cottagers side which secured a play-off place last season and since the end of the campaign he has been heavily linked with a move away from Craven Cottage.

Forest boss Mark Warburton ignited his summer recruitment drive yesterday when the signing of Hibernian striker Jason Cummings was announced by the club, with more recruits set to follow closely behind the Scotsman.

The Reds supporters here in the Football Transfer Tavern are delighted with the arrival of the 21-year-old, although they had hoped that proven Championship midfielder McDonald would be the next man to sign on the dotted line at the City Ground.

Forest narrowly avoided relegation into League One last season and their loyal bunch of fans are hopeful that players of McDonald's nature can be signed to progress the club forwards.

It now appears that the Reds must go back to the drawing board in their quest for a new midfielder as the threat of Financial Fair Play will likely end any interest that Forest have in securing the £7 million rated Fulham man.

Fulham should take a gamble on this £170k-rated 24-year-old goalkeeper

Fulham last season may not have struggled scoring goals, having three players scoring over 10 goals last campaign. However, the Whites did have trouble defending goals, not been able to maintain a consistent back four, for the full season, alongside a lot of uncertainty surrounding their first choice goalkeeper David Button.

Signed from Brentford at the beginning of last season, Fulham fans thought their club had signed a pair of safe hands, although Button proved to be anything but that, making many mistakes leading to goals and only keeping a 27.5% clean sheet to games played ratio.

The Whites second choice keeper Marcus Bettinelli, has also been scrutinised by fans of the club, making over 50 appearances for Fulham, the former England under-21 international has failed to portray a lasting impression at the West-London club.

With that in mind, it may be worth, for Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, taking a risk and signing another goalkeeper, who could help improve the Whites' back line, at a small cost.

Fleetwood's Alex Cairns, who is valued at £170k on transfermarkt, could work out to be a fantastic deal for the London club.

The former Leeds goalkeeper, may not have had much first-team experience so far during his career, but since moving to Fleetwood in 2016, Cairns has proved to be one of the League One's strongest shot stoppers.

The 24-year-old managed to keep a remarkable 17 cleansheets in 32 games for the Fishermen, and was one of the main reasons, Uwe Rosler was able to guide Fleetwood to a fourth place finish in the League One table last campaign.

Cairns was able to save Fleetwood from some horrendous defensive mistakes last year, and recover with an amazing save, and with him being very young, a move to a bigger club such as Fulham, giving he gets a substantial amount of first-team football will certainly help his development, alongside consolidating Jokanovic's defence.

In addition, with Carins only contracted to Highbury Stadium until June 2018, Fulham should be able to attract the young goalkeeper at a small cost, making the deal low-risk, but could potentially be very rewarding if Cairns succeeds.

Tomas Kalas to complete Hull transfer

It appears as if Tomas Kalas is the latest player lost at Chelsea to complete a permanent transfer away from the club.

The Mirror have claimed that Kalas will complete a move to Hull City and be Leonid Slutsky's first signing at Tigers boss.

Slutsky is a close friend of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and it's been reported that Chelsea could work closely with Hull by sending a number of players to the KCOM Stadium on loan following their relegation to the Championship.

That being said, it appears as if Kalas' move to Hull will be a permanent one.

The 24-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2010 from Sigma Olomouc for a reported £5.1m but has made just four senior appearances for the Blues in the last seven years,

Kalas has spent time out on loan with Olomouc, Vitesse Arnhem, FC Koln, Middlesbrough and Fulham in the last seven seasons.

He was expected to return to Fulham this summer but it appears as if the new found friendship between Chelsea and Hull has seen Kalas' future take a turn up north.

Hull are also hopeful of bringing in a couple of Chelsea players on loan this summer.

I think we need a touch of realism here.

Kalas is 24 years old. He has played 2 games for Chelsea. Is he really ever going to hold down a place with them? He has played one and a half seasons for Middlesborough in the Championship mainly at right back. He has played a season for us where he was solid but hardly commanding and not yet showing enough to say that he could be a PL regular. I would sign him if the price was right and given our limited budget and the need for a striker or two that should only be around £4m otherwise we should look elsewhere.

"See what comes out in the wash" really!

The club have a history of letting the right player slip through their fingers for want of a few quid and the fact is we ain't gonna get a better player for the kinda money we pay!

Also, your'e right we don't know whats going on but isn't it the purpose of forums like this to speculate, especially using previous experience as a guide?
