Fulham's BEST ever goal- (POOL 1) VOTE HERE

Hi ladies & gents.

I think deep down I know what Fulham's Best ever goal is, deep down I know what Fulham's greatest goal is. But the battle for 2nd and 3rd place is very close. To me they mean different things, so please when voting, vote for the quality of the goal, the best goal. Don't be swayed by occasions etc....because that isn't the question.

After doing a little research I've come up with 33 goals. Dating back to Alan Mullery probably being the oldest in the 70s. I have divided them into 3 pools of 11. Your job is to vote for the 4 best in each pool, which will give us 12 in the final.

I've managed to find a video of 31 of the 33 goals. Below are the goals in pool 1, refresh your memory and then click on the link to vote for the best 4.

Not much chance of video coverage of an ordinary Div 2 match back then.
I think there's a painting of it somewhere.

Shame there were no cameras at the game.  I can't recall a better goal.  If anyone has the programme for the next home game however, there was a fairly detailed description of it. I seem to remember he started well in his own half and went on a run before scoring beating some five or six players in the process.  It was. however, a very long time ago and distance lends enchantment.!!!!!!

The one from the draw is. Not the one to take us to Wembley. It's the best goal were voting for and that goal at Hillsborough was a very good one.

For the same reason there's no Murphy header, Gera vs Hamburg, Kamara vs Man City. They were momentous goals and who knows it's a long summer. Might do one specifically for that. But they weren't the 'Best goal if that makes sense

I thought three were easy but struggled for a fourth. Mullery's goal was so good because it was a volley.

It's down to interpretation. I would class Murphy's header as a 'greater goal' than Berbatovs volley vs Stoke  but it's not a better goal.

That's why I've tried to add variety because some love a team goal, some a rocket, some the skill and dribbling. You go with what you think is the 'Best' goal.

My only regret is that I don't have a header in there. And I'm sure there are many fantastic goals from the 70s and 80s but people need to be realistic with getting access to those goals. I'm only 28 so if there isn't coverage on YouTube etc then it's pretty impossible that I could know about them.

Hopefully people like the balance of the 33 I went with.
