We are in a league that is sponsored by SKY BET ........ why all the fuss ?

Speaking of which, Sky Bet do not allow under 18s to wear the skybet league badge, you'll see its empty on Sessegnons sleeve, however they don't enforce the same rule when it comes to shirt sponsorship. Maybe it's club discretion.  Interesting to see the inconsistencies.

Never noticed that. Cheers for pointing it out.

In a PR swing, Metro Bank could organise school trips through the Fulham foundation based on the importance of money management, savings accounts etc, and all coming with a billy badger money box

PR success

Everyone wins

For every dubious deal, there's an opportunity waiting to be pounced on.

Alternatively, sell the kids kits with the bank, or the foundation on it. Kids want a kit to look like it's the real deal and an empty kit pleases no one. That or a charity ?

Bankers are hardly perfect PR. Although there does seem to be some correlation between the recession and every empty shop becoming a bookie.

Anyone can blend into the crowd.  How will you standout when it counts?

There's a red one on the website without a sponsor in the club shop online

Beamer

Hopefully Teflon won't be sponsoring our goalie whoever that turns out to be.

I really dont know why these gambling sites get such bad press. There is a section online with everyone of them, called RESPONSIBLE GAMING. If you feel you cant handle it, you just take a time out for a period of time, or if you have a real problem, you can click a button and hey presto, ban yourself for life, no going back. There is also a whole load of info within their site about gambling addiction and how to receive help. I really cant see what more they can do. If people are still too weak after all of that, and take it upon themselves to destroy theirs and their families life then that is their issue, not the online company. If it wasn't betting, they would probably find something else to help themselves hit self destruct.

Totally agree - addiction breeds addiction. Banning things like gambling sponsorship (unless that targeting kids) lends itself to a nanny state where adults are arbitrarily told what they can and cant do. No thanks, mate.

Totally agree.  I worked for almost 40 years in actual casinos, as opposed to the online business, my last employers being Grosvenor.  There is nothing "shady" about them, a word that was mentioned in an earlier post!!  They are a respectable company and the casino industry is highly monitored and regulated and there is plenty of advice and help available for customer's who feel they are losing control.  They can also self-exclude for a specified period or permanently.

I'm not that bothered by types of sponsorship, if the club want it there's obviously a reason, but at what point can you say it's not targeting kids when you see 16 and 17 year olds advertising it on their shirts.

Then again, I've never felt the need to go to Florida, bet with marathon or betfair, I've never got internet through pipex, or done foreign exchange. My tv isn't LG and I prefer Dominos tonPizza Hut

No idea what dabs was before it became a dance move for fancyboys

Realistically these are such small amounts of money in the grand scheme of things it basically pays for Joka's next pay rise. Not worth moaning about.

Woolly Mammoth

I put a Monkey on a bet earlier this morning  that Kalas will resign on loan sometime today. Its a gamble and a risk but I am fairly confident this will happen sometime today.

Expecting Jokas pay rise to be a hefty one once he seals promotion in May, didn't he quit Watford because they only offer 1k a week payrise or something miserable (in consideration to the market and achievement)

Woolly Mammoth

Yep 1k a week, 4K a month, 48k a year, miserly. 💸💵💴💶💷💰

In a week of sponsors being announced, I've just noticed MOTOR VILLAGE has been replaced on the website as an official club partner by Tattinger Champagne.

The club is gettin more Fulham!
