Old Sod's Army- League cup misfortunes

Anyone else off to Adams Park Wycombe for the league cup tie? One of my fondest recalls is September 2nd 1963 and and away at Colchester United at Layer Road. Us Div 1 and them div 4. We lost 5-3.  fp.gif In mitigation we did have a young 'keeper, Mike Townsend, who froze and the rest is history.....

Don't worry , these days our keepers are tested against freezing, in fact medicals include low temperature tests.

Plus they are allowed to wear gloves these days. 🙌👐🙏
