Platform Services Manager....

My uncle Sid was one of those when he worked for British Railways. The badge on his hat said 'Porter', but I think that was because the full title wouldn't fit.

I worked in casinos for almost 40 years.  First on the tables but for the latter half  as a cashier.  I took early retirement last year as the shifts were starting to take their toll!!

Coincidence I worked in casinos: Playboy (twice - started in 1974) Ladbrokes and Bournemouth then Sydney, Mallorca and Cadiz in the 70's
Then ran a mobile corporate casino business until I moved to the US in 2002

I was back in the UK July 2016 for the 50th Anniversary of the London Playboy Club
VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

6 years retired primary school teacher/principal, got to see parts of NZ on school camps off the beaten tourist tracks. Glad to be out of the pc bull**** and bolshy parents. Also moonlighted as a chimney sweep and factory cleaner in Auckland during the holidays. Now just hang out for the next Fulham match, not quite as stressful.
Is a dream a lie if it don't come true?

I trained at the Victoria in Edgeware Road.  Playboy took over shortly afterwards and I was offered a transfer to Park Lane but never fancied the uniform!!  Instead I went to Sun City and stayed in Southern Africa for 13 years working in various casinos before returning to the UK and only ever worked in London.  I too worked for Ladbrokes but my last club was one owned by our club's sponsor!  Hope you enjoyed the anniversary bash, I think it was at the Hippodrome?  I know a couple of people who attended.
