Don't agree with the comment he was a "Poor owner"!

That's far too generous an assessment of the piece of Sh1t!

Oh, how close we came to death as a club, we must always be thankful to Jimmy Hill and those around him who saved us.

Remember standing by the Green Pole in the game against Walsall.  092.gif

One of the moments that are seared into the mind. Remember the Wallsall game with pride and a tear in my eye. But before that it was just unmitigated depression and negative headlines. Liars and people who just wanted to bleed us dry. Probably did more to make me aware that we should never trust anyone. Sadly the owners who have come since have had to contend with that.

Fernhurst

What a unmitigated bar steward
For years after his demise the walk through Bishops Park wasn't complete without a glance up to the graffiti on the top of the performance area stage stating "Bulstrode must die"....... how the ? did it get there?

Thinking about that time still makes me feel queasy.
Thank gawd for:
Jimmy Hill
The Muddeyman Brothers
Everyone associated with Fulham 2000
Fulham and Hammersmith Council

I still have my club who I'm immensely proud of.

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

First time I saw my dad cry, when he saw the banner at the back of their supporters coach SAVE FFC. Always have a soft spot for Walsall after that.
Oh You Lucky People We're the Best Team in The Land

By the way my dad organized that demo on the pitch, his name Dominic Guard. Makes me well up watching that.

Remember going on with my old man, I'd have been 10 or 11.

Thankfully I really believe we are in safe hands now in the Shad.

Don't forget David Dein's role in this debacle. Saw him once in a restaurant several years later and let him have both barrels. Embarrassing really but I felt better for it.

Your Dad is Dominic Guard? I must admit I still remember those days and feel a mixture of pride and sorrow. Does he still go to Fulham? I know when he was acting he was always there. Very odd and disturbing times. Well done to everybody who fought to save the club.

Ralf Mactell did a great bit on one of the football preview programs at the time that brought a tear to the eye.

I'm guessing you are Will.
Used to know your family during the dark days and then the better ones when Micky Adams took over. Still see your uncle Chris at games sometimes.

Amazing I stumbled across this the other day. 30 years!

Yup, I'm Will, there was only three young teenagers at Swansea when we were relegated in 93-94, I was one of them. Dark days, but home to Juve was redemption.

Someone said on here that my family stopped going because of "a hissy fit" which is down to them being actors but no hard feelings. All I know is me and my family bleed black and white.
