Reasons To Be Cheerful (continued 'cos I am a perennial optimist)

Roughly a quarter of the season gone and we are only 6 points off 2nd place.  Only 6 teams have conceded fewer goals than we have.  Only 7 teams have scored more than we have and we haven't yet really clicked as an attacking force.  We have key players  returning to fitness.   (Oh, and we are Fulham, not Preston, Cardiff or other ugly to watch teams)  049:gif

Seeing as you put it like that, then things are not that bad. I had another glance at the League Table and it seems a lot more healthier now, despite us dropping points here and there.
In fact everyone is dropping points, even before the weekend, and then Cardiff. Wednesday and Leeds all unexpectedly lost and took nothing away from their last match. A real mixed bag with only Wolves beginning to look like promotion candidates. But even things can change dramatically for them in a short space of time.
Nobody really sprinting away.
What an opportunity to reach top spot by Christmas, or am I dreaming and getting too far ahead of myself.

We all have to BELIEVE as position wise were not far away and with the squad stronger,TC getting game time its not bad overall.

6 points at this stage (8 off top spot) is nothing. The one thing that bothers me is TC's injury. If you read his comments it seems as if it's not been possible to diagnose it correctly.   If I were SJ I'd be thinking of January and potential back up.

Yes, Cairney's fitness is , without doubt, the biggest factor that will decide whether or not we are in the promotion race in the second half of the season.

Also encouraging our attendances have been healthy, put a good run together & we'll be +20K.

Not so sure the new club shop will encourage more spending though.

I like this post. Sometimes the negativity is overstated. Be happy!

I said a year or two ago I would rather finish seventh than have to watch Sheffield Weds (who seem always to finish above us) every week. I stick to that.

If we can reach the top 6 over the next couple of matches, and then slide into one of the top 2 places by Christmas, we will no doubt be getting 20k plus crowds and more.

For the second season in a row I am looking up the table and not down the table ( Any threads of the danger of relegation ? )

While we can do that I am happy and optimistic

Woolly Mammoth

Well we are only 8 points above the relegation zone. But we have a better goal difference.
