The club is facing going into administration if they cant pay off £200,000 debt by 25th of this month.
They will automatically be deducted 10 points which would drop them into relegation from the National league.
It was only a few seasons ago they were doing well up near top of League 1.
Fans of other clubs and ex players are rallying round and just sold a promising kid to Preston today for £65,000.
Hope they make it,hate to see clubs who have been around a long time in a mess, how things can change so quickly in football.
Come on you "Monkey Hangers"

Very sorry to hear that. Brian Clough started his managerial career there. Hope they clear that debt.

Fulham Tup North

:012:  Terrible to see them struggling.  I have family in-laws in the town, they have mentioned that a lot of their friends have lost interest since the new owners came in and have basically 'Asset Stripped' the club.  Sold loads of players but never re-invested it.  They were saying no-one knows where the money has gone.  They said that the owners have tried to buy the ground from the Council, but have been refused, as if the club goes belly up, the owners would just  turn it into a housing estate.  Sounds like even the Council don't trust them!
Remember watching Fulham play there in the early 90's.  Excellent pies  093.gif

One of our youth team players (Liam Donnelly) who played in the FA Youth Cup final against Chelsea plays for them. New owners asset stripping/ looking to sell the ground...was us a few years ago, hope they find a rescuer just as Jimmy Hill did for us.

We cannot let this club die, surely Jeff Stelling only has to chuck them his months wages, and they will be free of debt. 💷💷💷💷💷💷💷💷

Feel empathy with their long suffering fans who have done nothing to deserve this.   We have been there too, and I hope there is someone who'll step in and get them back on an even keel.

I'm sure with his contacts in the game he could head up some kind of ex-pros consortium.  In this day and age of football investors that is not a great deal of money.

Good luck to them, hope they get sorted.

They appointed Dave Jones last season as manager and he had been out of the game for ages. Never recovered from him. As has been said I feel for their supporters. We had it with Clay and Bulstrode. What a nightmare. Jeff Stelling must have many contacts who may help out. Will never forget the original Accrington Stanley folding up and the desolate look of the ground at the time. Good luck to them.
