I don't think it is so bad. They have changed things which might help at not a lot of money probably short contract until the end of the season. Then if they are relegated employ a big name to get them promoted again. It certainly is not McGath

Three other people turned down the job before they got to Lambert.

He'll soon discover the unalloyed joy of a squad that features two 30+ paceless strikers [the only ones good enough to get on the pitch] and a defense that has serious injury problems -- not to mention having lost one of Stoke's only two creative attackers in the summer.

Hughes could have kept them up given a decent January transfer period. I'm not sure anyone else can.

They were awful today. United never got out of first gear. They have let in more goals that any other premiership team and really are a team of mis fits. Hughes has set the table for relegation and I feel sorry for Lambert.
