If Fulham don't get promoted

Would you say Sess, TC, Fredericks and Slavisa are all gone?

Not sure if slav would leave, probably the players mentioned would I think.Plus it would need a rebiuld of the team, but if slav had imput like the last window then think he would stay.

Leave these old "what if " sayings, because if you stick to them, you cannot enjoy the jorney. Imagine that you have put on wedding clothes that you are cheerful and merry. If you can visualise such a picture, you will be immediately refreshed, you will be ready to fight your hardships in this world, and the vibrations of your mind will be higher. This visualisation of the picture has also a healthy impact.

I don't think it will necessarily happen. After all the background shenanigans at the start of the season, I think the team will stay together for one last push for promotion. They would hope for the status quo to remain, which would allow for a good pre-season, and then they could hit the ground running from day 1.

Everything appears to be smooth and calm atm, so the team can concentrate on doing their job properly. No distractions should mean we don't drop silly points up to Christmas.

It will be devastating to all concerned and the start of a dark era, can't imagine that we would be able to challenge for the play offs again next season, as Fernhurst says mid table finish at best.

If it happens it happens and we rebuild and start again. We have a number of players on long contracts we can keep. Good youngsters coming through and cash from the sales if they happen.
It would not be the end of the world as some of you view it. A lit of these same comments were made last season and look how things worked out.
It will be hard no doubt and we would start the season with minus £10m compared to this season as no more parachute payments.
But let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I'm assuming we had/have money in reserve this year, largely given the big bid for gayle (confirmed to the FST) that didn't come off

Also in this nightmare scenario of Sess and TC going I assume we'd get a minimum of £30m for the pair

As you've said beforee can recycle the old loans with new loans

My concern isn't the economics but more about losing what you might call the "intellectual property"... Jokanovic, his coaching staff and their knowledge, and players he's spent months and months teaching to play his way

I'm of the opinion that Ryan Sessegnon will get Fulham into the Premiership. One way or another by the end of next season.

just based on pure income no more parachute money. Yes you can move things around and I do mention sales. But to even get to an even figure with this year we need to raise 10m somewhere.

Blimey Dave, even by your standards this is it a bit early.

Some of us are a cup half full or cup half empty. You don't even have a cup.  :dft012:

If we don't go up. I'd say the chances are about 3/1we will go up,  then we have a huge asset in young Ryan. It would be incredibly sad to let him go but he will go eventually. If we don't go up, he will have to be sold. Those funds should almost guarantee promotion.

In all the summaries I read about what may or may not be, I tend towards feeling empathy with those who say it's a challenge just like any other experience we are ever going to endure if we simply just refuse to enjoy it.  When Jokanovic first arrived at Fulham you could just about be forgiven for asking what the fuss was all about, but slowly and very surely his professionalism and the professionalism of those who reported to him has repaired, improved, moulded, manipulated and finished many damages and flaws in Fulham's performance structure.  This team has given us gems, even some seemingly hopelessly flawed, polished to at least show us what gems look like and what can be done with just about any player who is not beyond hope.   Lose Jokanovic and his team and we have a much more difficult challenge, one that will be laced with trepidation given the Club's track record with coaches in the Khan era, but still a journey that we supporters will go on because we always do.  Retain Jokanovic and we will know he and his team deliver to the best of their ability.   One small encouragement was the last transfer window which for the first time under Khan did not disappoint.  If that was down to the absence of a 'Kline' then there is more to look forward to than there may have been were he still here.

We still have a season to play out and I am pretty sure that if we are promoted there'll be some surprises during the transfer window, just as there'll be surprises if we are not.  The 'what if' to really ask is what if you are someone who'd never go near a roller-coaster ride?

If (what a lovely and easy word that is) I were Khan senior or junior, at this stage of the season I'd look at Brighton who narrowly missed promotion for several years and then pretty much stormed it last year.   So, as my avatar says, stay panic, don't calm!  092.gif

I'm not normally so optomistic, but with the form we have been in recently, it's hard to see us losing to any team over 2 legs.

(LOL), might not have a cup, but got plenty of glasses which are always half full or half empty, normally half empty. On the wild assumption that we don't get promoted, my point was really about whether the players that remain from the present squad would be able to raise their motivation level to the same as this season. I think it is generally agreed that many of the present squad would not stay at Fulham and yes I am including loanees as well as our 2 star players, if that is the case there will be a large hole in the squad to fill and of course just as importantly would Joka remain? I believe we had a better chance in the play offs last season than the current one, whoever we are drawn against it will be really tough to progress to the final.
