Kline had been sacked at the end of last season and more heed given to Joka's wishes?

If we don't get promoted I think that the overiding cause would be the failure to recognise that Kline, along with his ideas and personality, was holding Joka and the team back.

..FOF..

Most likely yes.

Kline wanted to sit in the dugout and dictate who should play. Troublemaker.

I think asshole is a more appropriate term

difficult to tell without knowing someone on the inside who is willing to spill the beans. however, circumstantial evidence might lead one to conclude, "Hell yes!"

Sumo or later the truth will come out - but as you say " He'll yes "
It's obvious that the "football man" should have been given his head. I think it is very fair to say that with Slav in control we would have been better placed

In Slav I trust !

I think it is all a guess. Who would have been available earlier and would they have slotted in as well as the three we signed at the turn of the year. It's may be maybe not

Kline did to Fulham FC, what the Charge of The Light Brigade did to Army recruiting.

Mitrovic & Targett join in the summer we are already celebrating promotion
Come on you Whites!! :)

Probably yes. The transfer business of last summer was a disaster. The January window papered over the cracks but the reality is, we are still only 1-2 injuries away from disaster. The squad has been scaringly thin all season and it still is. If Odoi hadn't converted to CB so brilliantly we WOULD have been in trouble. BIG trouble! Looking at the injury lists of practically every other club throughout the season... if we were in a similar situation we would be starting youngsters.

Big thumbs up  :54: to the medical staff and the players for staying fit! We can still do it!  049:gif

It is easy to find a scapegoat to deflect blame from where it truly lies - politicians and business leaders do it all the time - but you never get the chance to replay even a second of what you have already done.  It simply means decisions must be made carefully, thoughtfully and inclusively, and not exclusively, hastily and wastefully.  It is always best to notice the effects of a decision sooner rather than later, because time is never on your side.

We are where we are and what we are.

Holders

Probably yes, in my estimation, and certainly if we'd been able to get January's acquisitions in the Summer.

And we would most probably still be in the Premier League if we hadn't been relegated!!

And I would have won the Euro millions on Friday if I'd had the winning numbers!!

Change the record and live in the present not the past, there is nothing certain about anything in this world let alone football so stop stressing and enjoy the time you have left on the planet!!

100% yes, Tony Khan and Kline really held us back, Jokanovic was allowed control for one window, brought in two players and completely saved our season.

There were few fans complaining the season before. I am not sure Kline is the only reason our transfers were poor this Summer. We have been crying out for a forward for some years. Any player brought in has failed to be close to the type of player needed. The last minute signing of Mitro has been a revelation. That seems to have been a transfer heavily influenced by Joka. But there have been several successful signings made before.

The tension between Kline and Joka is probably more the reason why things were not great. But we started poorly last season as well. Fact is I don't believe Kline being sacked earlier or Joka totally in charge of transfers would have changed that much.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

It maybe easy to find a scapegoat, but not quite so easy to find an escaped goat.

There was a bit of  good fortune involved in getting Mito, too. Slavisa  knew him,  a fellow  countryman,  and made a speculative , last minute phone call, but Mitro still might not hae come to us, or been able to.

Who knew he could make such a difference to our attack, scoring goals to take full advantage of our good play, which we hadn't always done with the players we had.

Targett  too -what a difference he's made.

They've been like two missing pieces of the jigsaw.

But I don't agree in replaying the past, all the 'what if's.'
Well, you can't change the past, unfortunately- water under the bridge, it flows on and is gone, into the sea.

Yes water under the bridge and into the sea, I can agree on that. But maybe the best way to communicate with a fish is to drop it a line.

I totally take your point about living in the present  - in addition though it is vital to review events and learn from mistakes in the past
