The last significant meeting was on 23rd January, 1999
Fulham were in the Second Division
Vanilla were riding high top of the First Division
FA Cup 3rd Round at Villa Park
Must have been at least 100,000 Villa fans and only 1 Fulham as there was a major polo match on at Hurlingham that day  064.gif
Anyway despite the league position, home advantage, 'massive fanbase', etc the score was........any Vanilla on here remember or are you all newbies??
Well the score was.......    ASTON VANILLA  0  FULHAM  2    yes   ASTON VANILLA  0   FULHAM  2
Simon Morgan and Steve Hayward both Brummies scored !!!!!

I was there, it was fantastic, Villa were top of the league and we stuffed them. I think the 2nd goal was from a Simon Morgan header from a corner, not unlike Dennis Odei's winner against Derby.

Old School

I was there - really close to the director's box. It was a brilliant night. Keegan as manager, and Morgan, being a Birmingham City fan, was overjoyed to get the goal!

I was there great day. But not my style to rub their noses in it. Save that for Derby county coz I was also there 83.
1975 just leaving home full of hope

Great Day .I think Villa were top at the time.
I remember Merson giving it large .
No squad rotation in those days.

My first trip to Villa Park 1973 .
I was 15 ,and a big fat Villa fan aged about 40 threw a cup of tea
over me when we scored in a 1-1 draw
I want revenge this weekend.
