At what point will Slav and Khan be turned on next year?

As long as Jocanovic is given reasonable support then the pressure is going to be on him to get those 40 points before Easter.

If we fail to sign Mitrovic before the start of the season then the board will have to do some clever talking.

This is a desperately negative post.  It's not even mid-June yet!.. I'll settle for a Bournemouth for next year ... keep ourselves out of trouble and build nicely to close to top 6, expectation of another Europa?  Realistically, anything else is pie in the sky.

Firstly I'd say we are in the PL by right of being one of the best teams in the Championship last season, a league not noted for its capacity for creating good football sides who flourish there.  A result of being too good for the division you have just had a successful season in, you go up, and the test is simply to hold your own, competitively, against sides who are much the same as you are in the new league.  It'll be as hard or as easy as we make it for ourselves against those teams.  As for the better sides then we can still compete for points and not be downhearted when results do not come our way.  This is not the Fulham of old in the PL - this is SJ and staff's project Fulham, owned by Khan, and looking to surprise a few people especially those who will always be doubters.

We should judge our Club on the football we play on the pitch, the objectives the Club sets for itself.  When August comes there'll be plenty of time for doubters to have their say but until then we live in that window where literally anything can happen.   As for me I am optimistic about the coming season and how the team will turn up and be even better than last season.

It will be well before our first match. It'll be when somebody we've been matched with in the press [who we probably don't want in the first place] signs with someone else.

I'm guessing they'll be under attack on this site by a week after the World Cup final.

Christmas time. That's when they turn on them on. You can probably wait to make your booking, it's still June.

Hope that helps.

Khan will be turned on before the end of the transfer season. So before we even start playing .

Joka I think has a lot of credit and love and though a minority will start after the 1st defeat ( why can we not beat Spurs at Wembley !? ) I think the majority will stick with him so long as we are not in the bottom 3 .

I thought this would be a really interesting time to dig this back up.

With the unbelievable financial backing that we've had, I do not think the Khan's can reasonably be criticised even if we go down with 20 points.

How patient will fans be for Slav if we lose say the first 5 games?

Where do we have to be in the league? Is it as simple as if we're in the relegation zone at Christmas a change is needed? Or will you back them both even if we're losing not quite good enough to stay up but playing our way?

Way too much spare time on your hands mate.  Don't overthink it just enjoy the PL again.

is this a joke? our owner has clearly given the manager the tools he needed and wanted. there is very little extra that they could have done to influence how our season will pan out

Ironically I think the fans will be more patient if things go wrong than we would be if the huge investment hadn't been made. Now we have such an influx of players we all know it will take time to find the right blend. Players will disappoint while others will unexpectedly shine. Yes people like me will question the coach when he makes a decision or a substitution that doesn't come off. Frustration will be expressed if the coach picks players that look they lack commitment. The other bloke not playing will always have done it better.  Why doesn't he play Woodrow etc. But I think Slav will have a season to sort stuff out before the fans become too critical. If we had failed in the transfer market he would have until Christmas. Now he has as long as he likes.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

because its ridiculous to suggest that anyone could turn on the owner after the window we have just had because of what could happen on the pitch. he literally has no control as to how games pan out and the points tally that we will amass.

So far as the Khan's are concerned I will not turn for them or against them.  They are owners and they have a long time to be so before I'd consider them to be the kind of fixtures to be ecstatic or infuriated about.  As for our head coach then he has seen all this before in his career and he's done nothing so far, in my opinion, other then to be a model professional sticking to his task no matter what the odds for or against him may be.  I have always hoped he will become a long term fixture although, to be fair to him, I don't know if he is the kind of person who would stick around for the longer term, and that, is his choice.  I'd not want to see him leave for the wrong reasons whatever the future holds, and I hope, while the Khans are here they treat him with the respect he richly deserves.

So far as FFC goes I'd like the picture to remain one of an honourable and friendly football club, who wants to play and win the game as it was intended to be played and won, with players and staff who know what they means and why it is so important a tradition to retain.
