One thing that should be pointed out as to why we might be able to sign Seri is he has this medical condition that affects how he plays in cold climates.

Good thing there is a heatwave then.
I guess  that is not as bad as it sounds as the cold weather should be at the same time as the Africa Cup when we would lose his services any way. Of course he would not be ready for a couple of months after signing , forget November as the fog would affect his chest,. With a bit of luck we may see him in a couple of games around Christmas and then wait for Spring when he could make a big difference in another Great Escape.
Yes, we can see why he is attracted to a Fulham signing.

Africa cup of Nations was recently moved to the summers of odd years (2019, 2021, etc) in order to not conflict with club leagues.

This is the medical condition I was talking about with Seri by the way. Done a few interviews about it.

Why would he even consider moving to England or Germany if he's struggling with this? It's not just in cold climates, it's humidity too. Seems like a HUGE risk for everyone involved. I mean, look at his previous clubs, all in warmer climates so there's probably no way of knowing how this could develop over time. Hopefully our medical team knows what they're doing but I'll be absolutely FURIOUS if we end up with a 35M sick note when his condition is already public knowledge.

He can wear thermal socks or Under Armour/Adidas equivalent to counteract it. Maybe 20 years ago it was a problem but medical science and sports science has come a long way to counteract it. I'd imagine he's probably got specialised equipment to deal with it anyway, but FFC will be able to see his medical history as part of the deal and liaise with the Nice medical staff as part of due diligence to understand if it's actually a problem. Besides France is a big country so he would've been exposed to differing climates there anyway and as he seems happy enough I doubt it's a huge issue.

Deuce

Dortmund just annonuced Achraf Hakimi, loanee från Real Madrid. If anything this COULD be good news for us. If Dortmund were close to signing Seri - only hours away perhaps, agreed wage and such- then sureley they would wait and announce them both at the same time, right? RIGHT!?

You're right of course. For a moment there I forgot that Nice actually play away games!  :005: I blame it on the stress of no signings!

Just in case, a preemptive chant... Worth signing him up just for his name... so many possibilities.

It's no disrespect aimed at him, it's just Seri is the same player but much better

I'd say he is a bit like a more dynamic Danny Murphy in playstyle. Not a very physical presence, but spreads play well.

Disagree with the Johansen comparisons, as an important part of his playstyle is tackling and arriving late into the area.

HV71

Looking at the videos - his passing transitions defence to attack very, very quickly. It seems if we did get him we would really need a rapid guy upfront ( Cavaleiro??) as well as Mitro. That would potentially be very, very exciting

Madman Maddle

This Seri guy is a mix of McDonald, Johansen and Cairney. He picks up the ball from deep to launch attacks, roams forward into dangerous areas and has the ability to play key passes in the final third. If he wasn't a midget he'd already be at Barca or a Manchester club.

Thanks all for the description. So basically hes that good that he won't sign
