5-3-2

[Samsara]

Looking at our two signings today alongside our current squad, I'm wondering if we could more realistically compete in a 5-3-2 formation. Joka has experimented with it once or twice in the past if I remember correctly. I think this is the most realistic look to our squad if Mitrovic was our only signing from this point forward. (I expect to sign more players than only Mitrovic)

GK: Bettinelli
Defenders (Left to Right): Sess, Ream, Le Marchand, Odoi*, Christy
Midfield: Seri, Mcdonald, Cairney
Attacking: Kamara, Mitrovic

Odoi is the only one that I see somewhat desperate(*) improvement for/from. He is good with his head though and can fill that role. I would feel comfortable with Kalas in that position. I like this because it keeps our squad together as well which I think is more vital than marquee signings.

Sess will not be LB. The last time we played 5-3-2 I think was against Brentford when we gave up the goal on 90+4 and drew instead on won. There will be better players and a better formation I think. Constructive idea though.
