Two promoted (ex/soon to be ex)Fulham keepers.
Etheridge - full of confidence, great penalty save against NUFC.
Bettinelli - banished and looking for a new club?

I hope the Sack-The-Winning-Side strategy works !

When Cardiff go down, and we don't, please revert back to this comment.

Cardiff is playing the same back 4 in front of Etheridge as last season. Our back 4 is completely new. Would rather assume Betts would have the same issues as Fabri.

And if we get to eight matches without a win (which clearly I hope we don't) I will raise the issue of how it is difficult to slot in a whole new team and win anything ...

Cardiff have nt paled spurs away yet and they dont defned with a park 4 they get all behind the ball.

Actually since he went to Cardiff he has improved by a long way, saved them on many occasions last season.
The old saying Keepers improve with age.

snarks

Cardiff haven't had a shot on target in 2 games according to the bbc yesterday. Their problems are not the defence.

In all the posts about Betts. No one has mentioned the fact he has shown resilience and fight to get his place back in the past. There are several in our squad who have seen the arrival of players likely to take their place. There are no guarantees. The bar's been raised. You fight and get back into the team. Any manager who doesn't pick on merit is going to lose the dressing room and the owners trust. SK doesn't appear to be made that way. In fact I'd go as far as saying he's the exact opposite.

Cardiff brought in a championship keeper to provide competition for Etheridge
/
We have brought in two keepers with top tier league and champions league/ europa league experience.

The main difference is the bar has been raised.
Regardless of who is between the sticks, the four ahead of him are all brand new.

I have previously said in other threads that Etheridge has taken years since leaving Fulham to have the luck and find the form to get him into the Cardiff team and keep his place.

He is playing behind a big and physical team
