Cairney can't play CM in a 4-4-2. Equally Schurrle doesn't have the workrate or discipline needed for LM. I'd go:

I've not been a huge fan of Vietto so far but in a 4-4-2... I actually think that could be brilliant!!!!

You can't assume we'll play like Leicester. Ranieri is a pragmatist who has changed styles with each team if needed.

He'll know 4-4-2 doesn't suit us.

Well he obviously saw what happened at Pool, so I would like to think he would be close to that team with Chambers as DFM

I too think he will sacrifice/drop Cairney and I can see him not featuring much under tinkerman.
He wants blood and guts.
He's already said he doesn't like to keep the ball, he wants to play ugly and win rather than play pretty football.
He might just get results as it has been proven in this league so many times that battling can get you points well above your station.  I hope we do well cos I love his crazy high pitched laugh.

I didn't say I would pick Seri over Cairney, I said that I think this is the lineup Ranieri will choose for Southampton. Because :
A) Cairney isn't 100% fit
B) I think Seri is faster and better defensively(which we could see in the first few games) , but for some reason he got really lazy.

I had been saying for a while that a more defensive tactic was needed in games eg no wingbacks. Also felt that the team were not at the races defensively and that there had been no real passion until the better performance against Pool. I think we needed a Hodgson ish style and then develop from that base. But his hindsight is a wonderful thing and unfortunately Joka cant make those changes.

Ranieri team will be picked on what he see's in training sessions and the last match I think, I put Aiyte in as he at least chases back.
