Your just too good to be true Fulham

Robbie

Nothing personal but RS gets an amazing amount of coverage for a player that has had 3 ?  half decent seasons.
He was good for us in the CS for 2 seasons but not anywhere near the standard for the PL.
We sold him well.

Good luck to RS but the hype has run well ahead of the performances.

You do realize that he performed better for his age than almost all other professional footballers ever? Certainly better than all other Fulham players that I know of. He was also voted EFL player of the season at 17, which I believe is otherwise unheard of. Now, I don't agree with Ryan getting the award, since I don't think he was even the best in our team, but surely that deserves to be labelled better than half decent?

I am also fairly sure that the hype has been accordingly toned down following his (very understandably) not very impressive debut season in the PL. I haven't seen more hype about him than any other talented player with similar merits, but maybe I haven't been looking.

On topic, all the best to Ryan. He deserves all our best wishes after behaving like a true professional from day one with us, and leaving with his honor 100 % intact.

Well done young man....... very best wishes from all of us who appreciated every season you spent with us.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

BBC Report of his goal...

"Here's why he is so highly-rated! Ryan Sessegnon has looked Spurs' most dangerous outlet and stuns Bayern with a thunderbolt.

The ball falls nicely at his feet on the left side of the Bayern box - and he doesn't need telling twice. Sessegnon wallops inside the near-post."

Why would you cheer a Spuds, of all teams, goal - seriously!?
They've ripped us off for years!
Sess decided to leave - hope he never scores again, unless he returns, personally

Don't be such a grouch!
Was with us since he was a kid and we got decent money for him.
There's no such thing as a player for life at a club like Fulham - we can't offer Champions League football for example
He was instrumental in getting us promoted, served the club well. I would have loved him to stay for a few more years, but we have to accept that they are a bigger club than us and have the advantage of being in London.
"Dixie" Dean Coney - the legend lives on!

I doubt anyone cheered the goal because it was spurs. They cheered because it was Ryan. You know one of our own who played tremendously well for us for most part of his so far short career. The one that signed a new deal out of loyalty, and then left for good money without ever making a fuss about anything. He showed class in an environment normally derived of the same. Some people should take a page out of his book, is my feeling.

+1

I really don't understand why some people are so bitter. Anyone who is honest with themselves knows in their heart of hearts that they would have made the same decision. Leave a failing club for a good fee for a team that had just come runners up in the Champions League. Did you really think he was going to risk staying with us on a lower wage, playing lower quality football under a lower quality manager? He hasn't achieved what he has through a complete lack of ambition.

I am glad to see him doing well and scoring, albeit in a 3-1 defeat to Bayern. I watched the game and thought he was one of Spurs' best players. I would love to see him fulfil his huge potential and play for England. He gave us so many good moments, and set up THAT moment. He stayed humble and professional throughout. Just my two cents.

Go on Ryan! Good on ya kid! he struggled last year but I really hope he goes on to big things, if only on a fulham level it's a wonderful endorsement of our academy!

BigbadBillyMcKinley

He's a Spurs player. If he scores, it benefits them, not us.

I wonder if he cheers for his academy team mates, or concentrates on his career there....
Everything is difficult before it's easy!

..FOF..

I'm cheering for his attitude, work ethic and a high class example of how to rise up the rank.

Cheering for him is beneficial to Fulham because our youngsters that have interacted with him before might want to emulate his path to success.

Stay with Fulham for a while to get that important big match experiences.

Is it me or is he talking like a Spurs kind of person, rather than the eloquent young Fulham chap or yore... Ah well
