Free kick that wasn't just smashed at the wall. When he lined up to take one in the first half I just knew it wouldn't clear the wall. It was much more suited to a cav or Cairney who both possess a little more finesse.

Exactly.
How hard is it to work out Mitro should not take free kicks and somebody else should.

Cairney free kicks used to be something the other team feared. Free kicks have fizzled out now as being part of our armoury.. agree with OP!

Isn't Knockaert meant to be a FK specialist? Saw him score a nice one against Oxford Utd in pre-season.

Yeah, agree with this. Cairney or Knockaert should be taking the ones within distance. Possibly Mitro if it is literally just outside the area (and too close to get up and down).

I wouldn't want t be the one taking it off Mitro in the heat of the game if I were playing with him though...

which shows weak management doesn't it. Either Parker has instructed one of the worst free kick takers to take them, or he hasn't instructed anyone and they just do what they want

As already said Cairney used to take good free kicks, why not now. Is it just another part of his game that is not what it was.

Cairney loss of free kick ability makes no sense, it is normally one of the last skills a player losses so it cannot be aging related. Glenn Hoddle was rumoured to be a brilliant free kick taker as a coach several years after he retired even at world cup 1998 challenging Beckham in training.

Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

It depends on which side of the pitch the free kick is.
In general on the right favours a left footer, Carney, Knocky, SteffJ, Bryan, whereas if TO is on the left you would usually expect a right footer shot.
That said I agree with the OP that Mitro has had too many attempts and failed.
