Mitrovic, same him for the play offs?

According to some stats that I have read the games we have played without him show we have done better, 1 draw and the rest we have won, which is very surprising. I think we are pretty sure to make the play offs and of course he is our star/only real goal scorer, so do we play him in the last 4 goals and risk him being injured or more likely being sent off again or give him 1 league game and save him for the play offs?

His last performance for us was a disgrace and unexplainable, what was the motive for his behaviour?

Mitrovic used to play 90 minutes pacing himself to last the entire game. Now that we can play without Mitrovic, he should start making the maximum impact he can for as long as he can, then rest him.

As I said before, there is too much reliance on him, he rarely holds up the ball these days, he has no support if he manages to hold the ball up. If everyone on the planet knows that we are going to try to get the ball to Mitro. what is the point of doing it. Also it slows our forward play down. We are so 'one dimensional'.

In training will probably practice getting the ball to Mitro in as many ways as possible.

OK we have won three games on the trot without Mitro but we are struggling to score goals and currently averaging less than a goal a game. We need him match fit and firing on all cylinders for the play offs.
Yes we need to preserve Mitro for the play offs along with Rodak, Hector and Cairney but at the same time keep team momentum. Also third place finish would boost our confidence for the play offs and ensure we avoid Brentford in the two legged semifinal .

Parker has a lot to consider, he can limit players game time by making full use of the five substitutes but he has some difficult selection problems in the last three matches.

We don't need to save people for the playoffs, if the past has taught us anything is that going into the playoffs you need a settled team who are fit and used to each other.

As for mitro, I do think he's been the intended focal point of our game play and we've relied on him too heavily in particular towards the back end of the first half before lock down and since we've come out of it.

That's not his fault though.

What I think has happened is earlier on in the season the team had a style and freedom of play and played to their strengths and then when they did that mitro was there on hand to score when opportunity arose or when he was anticipating where would be good.

What's happened is we changed our tactics to be solely focused on him which limited the creativity and effectiveness of the rest of the team as a whole. So instead of mitro having the quality and playing with his to the quality of others, others ended up sacrificing their quality to focus our attacks on getting the ball to him.

What we need to do is have the team be the bigger factor to the way we play over the way mitro plays. If we do that we'll see the best of both worlds and may stand a chance against Brentford in the playoff finals if we play them.

Save him for the play offs ? This isn't a holiday camp or is it ?
We don't save people for the play offs, we are not City or Liverpool we are Fulham and we need all the help we can get.

He should have thought about that before deciding he needed a couple of weeks off and sod Fulham! There again lucky old Fulham won 3 games on the spin without him!

It's quite simple really. Winning is a habit and three of our remaining four games are going to require maximum effort and application . We need our strongest team out.
