Could some one clever like WhiteJC find a way of pasting in the timeline??

Rupert

Can I be picky here?

It was Cabra Eatates, not Cobra, and we were, for a while, 91st out of 92, not 94. Otherwise it looks fine to me, thank you LBNo11.
Any fool can criticise, condemn and complain, and most fools do.

Not to be a smart arse either, but wouldn't it be safe to add last season as well when we set a new Fulham record in points, highest table finish and qualified for the first ever Europa League?

Should be significant enough to make the timeline I would have thought.

We should also tuck that list away under the History section (if it isn't done already)

LBNo11

...already amended Finn, as soon as the History section is ready this will be added with all the ammendments.. :)

It wasn't Jimmy Hill who bought the club from Marler Estates - that was Bill Muddyman and his family. Hill served as Chairman but as I understand it made no financial investment.

LBNo11

...How would you amend it Tony?

How about:-

1987 - Former Fulham player Jimmy Hill leads a high profile campaign to save the club, and financed by The Muddyman family, Marler Estates is bought out and Jimmy Hill is installed as Chairman...

TonyGilroy

That sounds good to me.

The club would have died had Bill Muddyman not been willing to spend his money on saving it. My understanding is that he recognised that he did not have the expertise to run the club and would only invest if Hill came on board as Chairman.

Hill of course then became essentially the public face of the club.

Jimpav

Great work with the time line guys.

Any objections to giving Keegan a mention? I know it was short stay but it would be good for future generations to know that Fulham have supplied more than one England manager- possibly three the way Woy is going!

The Equalizer

How about:

1954 - Class of '54 born.
1976 - The Equalizer arrives.
"We won't look back on this season with regret, but with pride. Because we won what many teams fail to win in a lifetime – an unprecedented degree of respect and support that saw British football fans unite and cheer on Fulham with heart." Mohammed Al Fayed, May 2010

1983 - Fulham miss out on promotion to the top flight (Division 1) at the last game, a controversial match at Derby that was abandoned due to a pitch invasion by the Derby fans where they attacked Fulham players - the FA did not grant a replay - so began 37 more years of hurt.

With my proof reading hat on - 37 years of hurt began in 1983 ? We still have 10 years more to suffer ? - I thought we'd been doing pretty damned well of late !  ;)

The Equalizer

2005 - The Maestro, Johnny Haynes departs this mortal coil...
"We won't look back on this season with regret, but with pride. Because we won what many teams fail to win in a lifetime – an unprecedented degree of respect and support that saw British football fans unite and cheer on Fulham with heart." Mohammed Al Fayed, May 2010

BarneyTravers

Maybe a reference to winning the Inter Toto and entering recognised European Competition for the first time.....'we won it one time' and all that malarky!

LBNo11

...I have added suggestions and corrected mistakes (such as us beating Newcastle in the famous game of 1956) and I have added new historical date events such as 0-8 against Halifax Town, 10- 1 against Ipswich etc.,

Any more suggestions - let me know...
