Title: How costly is it not have got Pepi in January!?!
Post by: Jeroen on May 17, 2026, 05:18:24 PM
I know it's hindsight, but how expensive is it proving to be that we didn't offer slightly more to get this over the line
Or go for another striker for that matter.

The goals of our 2 main men have really dried up and that has been the difference in my opinion

I think the issue is further back the pitch. Our chance creation is awful now especially given the amount of creativity there potentially is in this squad

I think the problem is in midfield. Berge and Lukic are perfectly adequate premier league midfielders, but what we really need is an onfield leader. Someone who can dictate pace and play the killer pass.

Very!

Not because he would have been the missing piece of the puzzle that we lacked (too many other areas lacking) but he would have probably scored a few more goals.

And that would have pushed this mediocre, boring team up a few places in the league.

Silva would only have coached his goal instinct out of him.

I'm with Jeroen, hongkong and Dembele 3rd. Our problems are up front, at the back and in the midfield.

Didn't he break his arm or something?
