Title: How do we choose a manager
Post by: MickTheBeard on June 04, 2026, 02:49:08 PM
Is it experience or up and coming very hard to make a decision. At the moment we are a midtable side and will loose a few players, that will depend on new manager.Obviously wilson will go and possibly our German goalkeeper will move on anyone else will be down to new boss with his style of play.Experienced or up and coming,is their money in the kitty to buy, are their assets to sell,I think that's where the problem lies.Academy has improved but are not falling into the 1st team the club will need some big advice from the right people.I have no real loyalty to siva as he put himself 1st he looked for a bigger club fare enough be funny if wilson follows silva to Portugal that means they would have. Planned ahead,That shows our scouting dept failed, wilson and munis their were offers we did not act they listened to silver gave munis a rise and possibly wilson for nothing if that doesn't make a point for a Dof  full time that has been a highway robbery silva may have pulled our pants down.

"Is it better to hire an experienced manager or an up-and-coming one? It is a very hard decision to make. At the moment, we are a mid-table side and will lose a few players, though that will depend on the new manager. Obviously, Wilson will go, and possibly our German goalkeeper will move on. Anyone else leaving will be down to the new boss and his style of play.Whether we go for experienced or up-and-coming, the real problem lies in the finances: is there money in the kitty to buy, and are there assets to sell? The academy has improved, but players are not transitioning into the first team yet, so the club needs serious advice from the right people.I have no real loyalty to Silva as he put himself first by looking for a bigger club. Fair enough, but it would be funny if Wilson follows Silva to Portugal—that would mean they planned ahead. It shows our scouting department failed. There were offers for Wilson and Muniz, but we did not act. Instead, they listened to Silva, gave Muniz a raise, and now we will possibly lose Wilson for nothing. If that doesn't prove the need for a full-time Director of Football, nothing does. It feels like highway robbery; Silva may have pulled our pants down."
