Title: Sithole of South Africa
Post by: Steeeeeeeeeed on June 11, 2026, 08:05:07 PM
And He Sits in the hole in Midfield.

First amusing name of the 2026 World Cup.

I enjoyed the Opening Ceremony bits, shame Salma didn't bring her snake.

The Azteca Stadium looks incredible, great atmosphere.

Come On Raul, ✌️

Azteca is amazing.  And so hard to play as a visiting team - 88,000 fans, 7200 feet (2200 meters) above sea level, in the bowl of an extinct volcano that traps in all the smog of the city (the city is in the bowl, not just the stadium).   It's one of the toughest venues in the world.

After seeing his red card today, stopping a goalscoring opportunity,.he should change his name to Sithouse.

Nice video from inside the Azteca, from the fairly posh seats, but the Mexicans seem a great bunch of fans alright.

It did remind me of the Hammy bogs. Perhaps we can get him on a free to do maintenance work.

And why didn't the ref show him the brown card?
