Fulham have 'serious interest' in 25 G/A star – PL side make offer for signing
Earlier this month, Marco Silva ended his five-year spell at Fulham to join Benfica.
The Premier League side offered him an extension, but he decided to leave for the Reds. Three days ago, Silva explained why he left them for Benfica.
Fulham are in the process of appointing his successor while work is also ongoing to make additions to the squad.
Dinamo Zagreb star Luka Stojković is on their agenda for this summer. The attacking midfielder has impressed this season, scoring 13 goals and contributing 12 assists from 42 matches.
He's yet to make his debut for Croatia but was on Zlatko Dalić's stand-by list for the World Cup.
Fulham make advances
Luka Stojković's performances have caught the attention of the London club and Lazio, according to Germanijak.
Gennaro Gattuso is on his way to become the Serie A side's manager and knows the 22-year-old well from his time at Hajduk Split between 2024 and 2025.
He wants the Croatian at Lazio, but as of now, there's no official offer from the Italian club yet. The Biancocelesti will face competition from Fulham, who have taken a 'serious interest' in the player.
Fulham have made further advances by sending an offer. Germanijak makes it clear there is no written offer on the table and the English club made a verbal offer of £4m [€5.8m].
Dinamo Zagreb have turned that down.
The report points out the Croatian club tried to sell him to the Middle East in the winter market for around €3.5m. However, this figure is no longer enough.
Dinamo Zagreb's plan is to not sell their key players at least until after the Champions League qualifiers. However, their position could change if there's a tempting offer.
Germanijak state it wouldn't be surprising if such an offer were to arrive from Fulham or another club for the attacker.
No clarity on player's decision
There's no mention or suggestion of whether Luka Stojković is open to making a switch to Fulham or Lazio this summer.
The interested parties would have to convince him to pick them, and Fulham may not be able to do that until a new manager arrives.
Transfermarkt value the Croatian, who has a contract expiring in 2028, at €7m. This is the highest value of his career.

Sander Berge: Man United now eyeing Fulham midfield lynchpin
Manchester United are focusing their efforts on alternatives such as Mateus Fernandes after deciding against making a move for Elliot Anderson, with Nottingham Forest asking beyond a British record transfer fee.
According to David Ornstein, talks through Fernandes' agent Jorge Mendes are advancing, with personal terms not anticipated to prove an issue.
However, it is understood the Old Trafford hierarchy are not prepared to meet West Ham United's demands of £80m. Their list of alternative targets does not end with Fernandes.
Manchester United eyeing Sander Berge
According to The Athletic, Fulham midfielder Sander Berge is another player that Manchester United are now running the rule over as an option.
It is believed United considered signing Berge in 2024 when he left Burnley for Fulham.
The 6'5″ midfielder has proven to be a success at Craven Cottage, continuing to impress with his aerial dominance, ball-winning ability, and ball-carrying skills.
"He's an intelligent footballer, with a great eye for a pass and the ability to run with the ball," Vincent Kompany said after signing Berge for Burnley from Sheffield United.
It is claimed Fulham would want to make a profit on the £25m they paid two years ago.
The 28-year-old is part of Norway's World Cup squad. A strong campaign in North America may further inflate his reputation and valuation.
Manchester United explore deal for Alex Scott
The same report adds that United have also explored the parameters of a deal for in-demand Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
There is a belief the technically gifted Englishman could be available for £60m this summer despite the Cherries insisting he is not for sale.
Bournemouth are attempting to renew his contract, which is currently set to expire in 2028. Any new deal could allegedly include a release clause of around £75m.
Carlos Baleba, Sandro Tonali and Adam Wharton also remain on United's list of midfield targets.

Marco Silva wants defender he liked at Fulham – Benfica believe they can strike cheaper deal
Fulham's previous interest in Ibrahima Ba is in the spotlight in Portugal. This is after Marco Silva reportedly identified the defender as a target for Benfica.
The Portuguese coach was officially unveiled by Benfica earlier this year after leaving Fulham. Now, reports from Portugal suggest he is keen to strengthen the side's defence. And he intends to do so with a player he already admired while at Craven Cottage.
Correio da Manhã report Silva has approved a move for the Famalicão centre-back. The 21-year-old had been followed by the coach since last season.
Ba enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Portugal during 2025/26 and attracted attention from several clubs. Sporting were among those keen on signing him. Famalicão's €25m (£21.3m) asking price was considered excessive and prevented any deal from advancing.
Marco Silva remains keen
The latest claims indicate Silva's appreciation of the defender did not disappear when he left Fulham.
The newspaper states Ba was already a player Silva liked during his time with the Cottagers and has now emerged as a concrete option for Benfica's summer rebuild.
Marco Silva recently made it clear he would not be raiding Fulham's squad for Benfica signings... But he said nothing about taking a closer look at players the Cottagers themselves once wanted.
While there was never any agreement, Silva's continued admiration suggests the defender remains highly rated by the manager. This is despite the financial obstacles that previously surrounded a transfer.
Benfica are fully aware Famalicão will demand a significant fee, but there is optimism in Lisbon that a deal could eventually be completed for less than €20m (£17m), a figure which would make negotiations considerably more realistic.
Jorge Mendes factor could help
Ibrahima Ba's recent switch to agent Jorge Mendes is also viewed as a potentially important development.
Correio da Manhã explain Benfica's strong relationship with Mendes could help facilitate discussions. This would apply if negotiations progress later in the window.
The defender made 24 appearances for Famalicão last season. However, he missed the closing matches of the campaign because of a knee sprain.
Benfica are expected to sign at least two centre-backs this summer, with António Silva and Tomás Araújo currently the club's main options in the position.
The report adds that former Fulham defender Jorge Cuenca remains another player under consideration. Benfica have been linked with the Spaniard before. However, previous reports suggested concerns over the financial demands involved in that operation.
For now, though, Ba appears to be the defender carrying Marco Silva's strongest endorsement, with the coach seemingly unwilling to abandon an admiration that dates back to his Fulham days.

The case for and against buying Samuel Chukwueze
His loan move felt underwhelming, but it could still be a sensible move for all parties.
We all know the narrative: Samu Chukwueze came back from AFCON a different man. It's almost true.
Now, the fanbase is cool on the idea of Fulham taking up their option for the 27-year-old Nigerian.
It's a shame, as Samu started the season brightly and we were all quite excited to have him and Kevin as our winger options during the first half of the campaign.
He was really hitting his stride in the five games prior to leaving for the tournament, with three assists and two goals - both of those coming in our humdinger 4-5 loss to Manchester City. It was a man-of-the-match-winning performance that led George Rossiter to proclaim: "We have to pay the fee and give Milan a little extra as a thank you for showing us a truly special player".
There was no doubt that Samu left for Morocco in the middle of a hot streak - and we were all buzzing for his return.
He endured a difficult AFCON, missing a penalty in the semi-final shootout against Morocco that saw Nigeria exit the tournament.
But that didn't stop Samu. He scored on his return to Fulham, drawing us level against Brighton at the Cottage, before Harry Wilson added an injury-time winner.
That victory propelled us to seventh in the league and everything was looking rosy for the Whites and for Chukwueze. Then five days later he loses his mother.
The elephant in the room here is grief. From experience, losing a parent is devastating - and grief can manifest in a variety of different ways. It can also take a while to work through.
Amazingly, he declined to take a break, starting for Fulham at Old Trafford just two days later. Again, there's no rulebook on how to grieve, but there are certainly mitigating circumstances.
Chukwueze made 12 more appearances after that 3-2 defeat to United, and failed to score or assist in any. He wasn't even in the squad against Newcastle on the final day and there weren't many eyelids batted.
Three goals and four assists in 23 league appearances is probably not worth £25m, even in today's market. But we've seen more than a few glimpses of what he's capable of, and I'm still of the opinion he's worth bringing in, particularly if reports are to be believed that we're negotiating the price tag with AC Milan.
Speaking to Jack Kelly last week, Tony Khan said the club still has eyes for him.
"I really like Samuel. We'd have to work with the new coach and sit down and work it out with Milan, but there is interest in Samuel returning."
The biggest concern about signing him is his age. At 27, there's little-to-no resale value there if we bring him in permanently. With SCR looming and the need to adapt our recruitment style to targeting younger, uncut gems we can make money on, this doesn't fit the model.
So you'd want an immediate return on the pitch. If 2025/26 was the warm-up, 26/27 would be time to deliver.
Nigeria famously field to qualify for the World Cup this summer. So Samu's got time to return home and recharge, to process his grief, and to prepare for a huge season.
Because whether that's at Craven Cottage, the San Siro, or elsewhere, it's a pivotal campaign for him as a player and as a human being. I wish him success whatever happens.

Man Utd consider signing £25m Fulham star as Manuel Ugarte replacement
Manchester United are interested in signing Fulham's Sander Berge to reinforce their midfield this summer.
With Michael Carrick now in place as their new permanent head coach, United have made rebuilding their midfield a priority with a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta already in place.
With Elliot Anderson seemingly out of reach, they have also made Mateus Fernandes a top target with talks underway to bring the West Ham star to Old Trafford.
United want to sign at least two midfielders this summer – three should Manuel Ugarte leave the club.

United are also keen to bring in a left winger to bolster their attack with Crysencio Summerville of the names now under serious consideration.
The 24-year-old impressed in east London last season despite the Hammers' relegation to the Championship, further enhancing his reputation with a superb goal for Netherlands in their World Cup opener against Japan on Sunday night.
The Athletic report United are paying 'serious attention' to the 24-year-old and have enquired into a move. West Ham value the former Leeds United star at £50million.
United are light on natural wide options on the left although Patrick Dorgu could now be considered as such having impressed in a more advanced role in the second half of last season.
Summerville joined West Ham in the summer of 2024 for a reported fee of £25million, scoring seven goals and providing five assists last season.

Fulham to make new offer after formal bid rejected – Also prepare proposal to sign teammate
Fulham want to sign Trabzonspor duo Wagner Pina and Chibuike Nwaiwu this summer.
Pina joined the Turkish club from Estoril in June 2025 while the 22-year-old arrived from Wolfsberger AC in January. Leeds United and Paris Saint-Germain were also in the mix for the latter prior to his move to Turkey.
The right-back and the Nigeria international's performances for Trabzonspor have already drawn Fulham's attention.
Both Pina and the centre-back have been regulars for the club and also contributed to their attack.
Pina, a 23-year-old Cape Verde international, contributed nine assists from 40 matches, while Nwaiwu managed three goals and an assist from 21 matches.
Fulham keen on Trabzonspor duo
Milliyet now state the Premier League club have been chasing Wagner Pina and Chibuike Nwaiwu for some time.
Fulham made a formal offer of €10m for Pina and Trabzonspor have turned it down. That won't put off the London club, who are preparing to make a new offer in the coming days to convince the Süper Lig side.
There's no mention of the Turkish club's demand or the fee Fulham are willing to offer for Pina.
Trabzonspor invested €5.5m to sign Nwaiwu, and Fulham are also preparing an offer of over €10m for the centre-back.
Contracts, values and agent info
Wagner Pina has three years left on his contract while Chibuike Nwaiwu's contract lasts until 2030.
Transfermarkt value the right-back at €11m, a €6m raise since May 2025, and the Nigerian is valued at €10m.

Fulham express interest in Luka Stojkovic, ready to pay €5 million
Fulham will look to sign 22-year-old Croatian playmaker Luka Stojkovic from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Croatian outlet Germanijak, Luka Stojkovic is the subject of interest from Fulham. The Cottagers are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile playmaker ahead of the 2026/27 season, and they have set their sights on the 22-year-old Dinamo Zagreb star.
The West London outfit have contacted Dinamo Zagreb to inform the club that they are ready to offer "a little more than €5 million" to secure the Croat's services in the upcoming transfer window. However, the Blues have no interest in accepting such an offer or selling Stojkovic in the coming weeks.
Who is Luka Stojkovic?
Luka Stojkovic is the latest promising prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. Born in Zagreb, the 22-year-old spent his formative years in Croatia, starting his youth career at NK Naftas before graduating from the youth division at NK Lokomotiva. However, he has risen in prominence since joining Dinamo Zagreb in August 2023.
Now a regular for the Croatian giants, Stojkovic enjoyed an excellent 2025/26 campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. The youngster's exploits have piqued the attention of several well-known clubs, with Fulham among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.
Why are Fulham interested in Stojkovic?
Fulham's interest in Luka Stojkovic is understandable. The Cottagers are scouring the market for a versatile attacker, as they are concerned about Harry Wilson's long-term future amid his links with several Premier League clubs. While Fulham would prefer to keep the Welsh international, he has entered the final few weeks of his contract.
So, the West London club must seek solutions from the market, as Wilson's potential exit will create a productivity gap in the team after his 19 goal involvements in the 2025/26 season. Several candidates, including Arijon Ibrahimovic, have thus emerged on Fulham's wishlist, with Stojkovic also a viable target.
However, Dinamo Zagreb's unwillingness to sanction Stojkovic's departure will force Fulham back to the drawing board unless they can convince the Croatian giants to sell the 22-year-old playmaker. A higher bid will be necessary to test the Blues' resolve in the coming weeks.
